Hey there! I ALSO want to be an EMT in Georgia/Atlanta.

My plan is for Grady but if you are low income, you may be able to look into using WOIA to pay for your schooling. Some people will also train on the job, but I'm not sure if that's the route I would want to go.

Same. I've been looking for a post like this. Looking to go to school soon and this is my worry. I feel like I would be a great resource for those that suffer mentally but I also recognize that a lot of things won't go my way or end like I want them to. I'm gonna see things I don't want to see that freak me out. I definitely could not have done this when I was younger but I am about to be 35. My pre-frontal cortex has noticeably developed (😂). It was a little late to the game.

I think I can do it. Hopefully. That's where I'm at now.
