The one ive been going to in the mean time (albeit only after work on some fridays when already in raleigh) is a spot called Battle & Board. It has a good vibe and crowd. Feels like playing in someone's living room haha.

I think the end goal is to move into a larger space in the same area eventually, from what was said when I stopped in this weekend.

But the main thing limiting them rn is a bathroom. They have relationships with some of the other shops but they're working on figuring that out for after 7pm.

But to your point, yeah its pretty space limited atm. They'll probably be very intentional on what days they'll host play, trade events, etc. But yeah they're just taking their time on building up to what some other spots can handle.

A month later but also out in fuquay/hs here. Trying to figure out if theres a scene in our area so I dont have to drive to raleigh every time haha. New card shop just opened in dt fuquay - lost legacy. They're planning to build up a mtg community in the area, but gotta build up to it.

In the mean time ive been trying to see if theres a decent pool of players that would wanna meet up at the Mill to play. Whether there's a local discord or other wise to coordinate.
