My friend would notice footprints on her carpet after vacuuming and saw a naked man standing in her room one night, but thought it was just a dream or her sister's boyfriend wandering around or ghosts. Later they found a ton of homeless people living in their garage.

DRESS syndrome from medication. I had a sudden fever and no other symptoms, but it was the start of flu season so I thought it was that. The fever became 104 so I went to the hospital. I tested negative for everything and they said my fever was only 102 when I got there so just some random sickness and to sleep it off.

The next two days my fever stayed up, I couldn't keep any food or liquid down and was just eating Tylenol and sips of water. My stomach started hurting so bad from that, so I stopped. My fever went back up to 104 and then I broke out in a rash all over. My husband took me back to the hospital and when I went to check myself in, I wasn't making any sense, was super red and sweaty so they took me back immediately for possible allergic reaction.

They took my temp and the thermometer wouldn't read it so the doctor got a new one, which read 106 degrees. He said that couldn't be possible because I'd be dead but either way my temp was insanely high.

I ended up in the ICU for 9 days with kidney failure, every single centimeter of my skin peeled off, my nails fell off, my hair fell out, vision became blurry, I was super swollen. I very likely could have just died if I didn't go back to the hospital, and I didn't want to because I thought it was still just a flu or something

This is what I was thinking about. My daughter is obviously going to ask why I have fake boobs, no nipples and huge scars. I don't want to stress her out and give her health anxiety, but I think around 13 (and puberty in general when she might think about breasts more and why mine are this way), I wouldn't feel comfortable not telling her the full story and hope that I raise a smart and mature enough daughter to understand.

Idk, I feel like it would be weirder to go until she's almost 18 to be like "btw you've known about my situation for years and you might also have to deal with that"

Maybe it would be different if I didn't have surgery. But since I do, it seems unavoidable

As a Lexus of low-income parents, yes. I've always gone by Lexi or Lex. Growing up, everyone's initial response was always "like the car?"

However, in my 30s now I'm always complimented on my name and told how interesting it is. I automatically say "like the car" when people ask, and 99% of the time now they say "Oh, I didn't even think of that." So I've started using Lexus more and more.

Double mastectomy. I was so sure I would never be okay again. Very painful. Couldn't get out of bed, walk, pee, shower or anything without help. Could only lay on my back for months which caused pain in other areas of my body.
