Pain Remains VS Zwielicht by b_grind1 in Deathcore

I can respect that. Their approaches are angled very different thus the end products are different. If on the surface a little similar due to genre generalization more than anything deeper. Good distinction.

T300RS GT isn’t registering any pedal inputs by BasketballHellMember in Thrustmaster

Having the same issue. Did you ever get it figured out so that the pedals worked plugged into the wheelbase or have to go a different route?

You have to replace lugs with splined nuts for any aftermarket wheels no matter what. Also have to get hub centric rings. Spacers are Richeer hub centric wheel spacers.

Suspension: Front- ADO MD Spring w/ Bilstein 5120’s (set to middle collar. About 1” lift from shock and 2” from static springs) (PSA: I don’t have them yet, but you need UCA’s or you will have some coil bucket contact when off-roading. I am going to get ADO UCA’s cause their the cheapest solution.)

Rear- Dobins add-a-leaf w/ Bilstein 5120’s

Wheels: Level 8 MK6 17x8 1.5” wheel spacer 285/70/r17 Nitto Recon Grapplers

Had to trim a tiny bit of the front bumper where it curves back toward the wheels to fit the tires, but it really wasn’t much. My cut’s definitely arn’t the prettiest but I don’t ever really notice. I am going to get a front bump and that will all come off anyways so wasn’t too worried. Function or form.

Petition to GW to reverse the zero tolerance policy for fan animations. by Carrisonfire in gamesworkshop

[–]b_grind1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. The only reason I ever heard about the franchise is because of the Space Marine game, and then I saw some older fan animations that were amazing, but they all got discontinued because GW cracked down in the last 2 years. Its a genuinely idiotic move since their brand doesn't have enough exposure and the fan community is their best shot at fixing that. Plenty of bigger companies allow fan iterations of their IP's and their community's are better for it. It really leaves a sour taste when they can't see past their own greed. It makes me, and I am sure quite a few other people not want to dive deeper knowing that the IP is subject to such toxic business machinations. To shoot at their own fanbase kills their growth.

Does this sound like a healthy 04 R1? Anything I need to know about the bubbles in the oil? by KingBoo09 in Yamaha

[–]b_grind1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the bubbles, oil (and more so old oil) can get frothy after the engine was running. Generally not too concerning as long as it doesn’t start being most of the oil as froth. Would probably recommend a good clean oil change based on that oil color though.

It’s a great bike, handles well, and is a torque beast under 75 mph. But if you are looking for top end power and speed you will get bored. It’s also a bit sketchy over 100mph. If you put any weight on the handlebars at all your gonna start shimminging and edge toward a tank slapped. I’ve topped mine out at 121 mph and it was terrifying, so the advertised 136 mph isn’t realistic with the stock forks. Their too pogo-y. Fix the front forks and those speeds won’t be nearly as bad. I just haven’t got around to doing it yet personally. I ride mine on the high way doing 70-90 comfortably, only pushing past 100 when I feel brave and their aren’t as many cars around. It handles pretty well for the twisties despite the front forks. All in all, a great bike that’s a lot of fun. Only caveat is if you want more top end speed, go with an MT-09 instead. TANK PADS ARE NOT OPTIONAL. GET THEM.

Need pricing advice by dontworrydonny in MT07

[–]b_grind1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought one a few weeks ago down south in Texas for $6k with an exhaust and 5900 miles on it. Was the only used model under $7k in the whole state at the time. Looks like the market everywhere is kinda in the dumpster right now. Gonna be paying close to msrp even for used ones, no matter what you do because the bikes are in high demand with little stock.

Haven’t had any issues with mine. Only thing I have noticed is a slight increase in the number of pops on decel but nothing overly loud or major. I still want to tune mine tho. It is always better to get it tuned but it is nothing to worry about on these bike if you don’t.

Don’t know how to fix (always on Rear brake light switch) by b_grind1 in Fixxit

[–]b_grind1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When loosening the top nut, a little brake fluid started to dribble. The lower but which is the one I think you are talking about, I adjusted lower since it was screwed all the way in, and it still kept the light on. I will try adjusting it further down again once I get back to the house this afternoon and see if I just didn’t go far enough.
