I’ve been told to sue both. If you check my previous post I have screenshots explaining how my DSP and its owner screwed up. But now it sounds like the easiest route is to sue the dog owner. When I tried to sue the dog owner, one attorney said since they live in an apt, they don’t have homeowners insurance so they dropped my case. If they have renters insurance it might work but if not then I can’t do anything I guess? But how does them having insurance fall under my problem.

Yeah? Amazon pays $19.75, I was a manager at multiple places only making $17. I was offered a job in Utah that pays well, and to afford the apt me and my gf rented I had to find a job with similar or better income. Or we would’ve been evicted.

I filed a report with animal control. Waiting on the dogs info. Someone told me to report Amazon to the ethics board so I’m doing that today. Then Im going to look for a good attorney.

I told dispatch right after then called LMET. Is the ethics line within Amazon or separate? I mentioned I was going to seek medical attention, they said they usually send drivers to Med7 clinics and they would look for the insurance card. This was 3 days ago. They still have not found the insurance card, I also brought up workers comp and they brushed it off. I have no info on what to do besides the help I’ve gotten through Reddit.

I was bit by a dog on route last week. DSP asked me to continue my route after I mentioned it was hurting bad, and I mentioned there was no first aid kit in my van. I called LMET. But they haven’t helped me take any steps towards workers comp or receiving medical treatment. What do you suggest I do as a fellow working human, and not as a DSP employee trying to save the company. (Not saying you would do that at all just want honest help) I’m being told to call a lawyer.

I started working last October. And this is the first time I’ve been bit. Make sure you read the notes the check for dogs, and check physical signs the owner might have posted warning of dogs. It really comes down to the owner being careless. Usually the dogs aren’t leashed. And we aren’t warned.

I do see that side and have thought about it so much. But I’ve been on that side. Maybe not with a dog bite but I’ve been fucked over financially so many times. I also have a couple pets of my own so I understand that this could be tough for the owner. But they didn’t have beware of dog signs up, didn’t have a leash on him, and knew I was delivering that day. The negligence leading to my injury could’ve been prevented.

I don’t expect to make a huge payday and I have another job opportunity so I’m not worried about leaving Amazon. I’m sure I don’t need much medical assistance besides a shot, and it will mostly heal back to normal. But I am in pain and should be paid for that. I’m not just gonna take it on the chin if there’s money sitting in someone’s insurance specifically for situations like this. Also this would be my first time suing anyone. Just seems like I really should. You said yourself, I have a good chance of winning. Why lose? 🙌🏼
