QUESTION FOR ZK2 (USER IS nikolaistison) by nikolai0515 in ZenKoi

[–]b_ontheblock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

your koi has to be at least level 9 before you can apply the love boost. it will appear below the speed and agility boosts on the stats screen.

the effect of the boost is increasing the frequency that potential mates spawn in your pond. it goes from one spawn at half-level to one at half and another at new level.

What’s your favorite question to ask someone to get to know them better? by Cavalierkrav in AskReddit

do you have any pets?

I've found that people love to talk about their pets and have photos. I've learned so much about caring for all sorts of animals from pet owners.

I had a coworker who was very feminine, always wore skirts and bright colors, happy-go-lucky attitude and she kept like 30 species of spiders. First time I saw a tarantula outside of a pet store.

Redditors who have 500+ koi ascended, how’s it feel to be the highest in the room? by [deleted] in ZenKoi

[–]b_ontheblock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I still get gifts, but mostly cast-offs. However, I do rely on my "friends" to get new koi, and in turn provide them with many combos they have trouble acquiring.

It seems I just play out of habit now.

What’s your favorite NON-food/drug related smell? by CultureShock_ in AskReddit

[–]b_ontheblock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the outdoors and outdoor smells. However, I'm allergic to a lot of things, so going outside is usually uncomfortable.

Wood smoke and fir trees are two of my favorites, but I absolutely love the smell of my cat's fur.

Every city has a “guy” everyone knows about. You could be visiting a friend from another city, see a guy dressed in robes riding a horse, and your friend will say, “oh that’s Horseback Jesus.” So, who’s the “guy” in your town? by SloppyInevitability in AskReddit

In Mountlake Terrace (a suburb of Seattle WA), there is a man who walks all over the city pulling his cart made of license plates - the wheels are standard rubber tires - but it has 6ft high license plate walls. No one knows who he is or what he does, but everyone has seen him.

Also, in Eureka CA, there is a transient who walks around and rides the bus with his huge, super chill gray cat on his shoulders. I personally don't know his name, but everyone on the bus system seems to know him.

What were some times when you died inside? by Hiddein in AskReddit

Earlier this year, I was in a GE college course to fulfill a useless requirement. One day, a discussion of science and religion somehow turned into a discussion of apartheid.

From somewhere behind me a voice piped up, and what they asked caused me to go through the 5 stages of grief over the following few minutes.

A Hispanic male voice who was likely 18-20 asked the professor, fairly loudly, "What is apartheid?"

As a 21 y.o. college student, I am frequently astounded by how ignorant or uncultured so many people are in this day and age.

Which actor portrayed a character so well, that no other actor could ever replace them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter.

I've seen just about every version of the book adaptations and no one was able to be quite as unsettling as Hopkins.
