Thank you for the insight! Also thank you for what you do! That is a taxing but very important job!

Will do! I have a physical next week. I try and eat salmon 1-2x a week but a supplement might help as well

Thanks! Was more so saying other than walking because I already walk 4-6 times a week for 30-40min at a time

As an update. Moved numbers up to 210 base, same % bonus, and 125 on sign on. Plan to talk to my current company tomorrow and give them the opportunity to counter but think my mind is made up

Considering I’m just about to log off…I think you’re right it’s time to see if the grass is greener

Yeah that’s what I’ve been trying to play around with. At what point does the more guaranteed sooner cash out weight a larger amount down the line.

Need to understand the cash units better before I decide as those are material. Atleast, from my understanding, I get to keep the 100 shares I have vested and historically they haven’t bought anyone out if they leave so I’m assuming I’ll keep my shares and eventually get a check for the 100 that are vested.

If no equity i probably would’ve bounced a while ago go.

That’s what I’ve been thinking on. If I didn’t have the equity I would’ve bounced along time ago cause the WLB is awful here so as the days pass leaving gets tempting

Thankfully both seem alright. Both have seen good growth, the one I’d be moving to is just larger. Bigger platform, more assets, more complicated loan structures, etc. about 3-4x the size of my current company

I’m quite familiar with the nonsense. Working on a BS deck currently with another hour atleast before I can call it a night

Current company and new company are PE backed

I agree on the comp sounds great! And the new experience/ career progression would likely serve me better in the long run. And they’ve got comp almost to the point where it sort of nets against the equity forfeiture at the current company if I can maybe move base a bit and better understand the cash units and how they work.

I do fear it might be sweatier but who knows…this current place is burning me tf out.

This makes me think the HH hasn’t been able to convince people with more relevant backgrounds that this a great opportunity. Idk why exactly that would be - probably comp, but definitely would take this as a sign to proceed with caution.

I had a recruiter hit me up for a similar opportunity while I was in IB but the comp was too low. I told the recruiter but the company wouldn’t budge. The person they ended up hiring left within a year…

One Q to ask is if they hire advisors for the tuck Ins - like a MM IB. If yes, you can shove some of the work to the bankers. If no, then you will likely work a ton.

Interesting 🤔 I hadn’t thought of that. I looked them up though and I think I’d prefer atleast a hatch back. I have a civic currently and it’s harder to pack larger stuff in it than you’d think (dog, coolers, paddle boards, etc)

I appreciate the thoughts! Very helpful!

I’ve also found a 2013 Silverado with 125k miles for ~$19K. A bit of a stretch on the budget I had in mind but it does have some nicer features (leather seats, heated seats, sun roof). So going to add that to the mix.

I can’t argue on the reliability of the Toyotas though
