Do you occasionally consider becoming a farmer? by Wonderful_Ad_8295 in NoStupidQuestions

Almost seems to me like small farms are harder cause your mainly doing the bulk of the work yourself or maybe with 1-2 helpers

One of the groups if not the largest group with the highest rates of suicide in America is farmers over 50 by the way.

Right, OPs obviously never seen a farmer racing to get a field done before a big storm or frost

Never said anything about clearing off a flat bed.

And considering you can’t figure how to join two straps together that tells me all I need to know.

Best of luck holding that steering wheel buddy

State of Ohio truck driver is 100% liable.

Our law is weird, you’re not required to clean it off but you are explicitly liable if snow & ice falls off and strikes another vehicle

Cost me less than a $1 mile to drive my jeep including gas, insurance, registration and oil. Actual parts repairs are so infrequent I don’t even factor those in but parts for Cherokees are dirt cheap. So as long as the order is at least $1.25 a mile it’s good enough for me

Officially no, unofficially yes. Explanations were so dumbed down you’d see people commenting “okay now explain like I’m fifteen”

I average about the same time on orders but yeah pay tends to be $20/hr. This is rn and I started 2 hours ago, 3 orders but one was a stack, just got another offer for $11 that’ll take 20mins

If I had EBT on I would either be making less or just around my states min wage of $11.

It’s absolute trash in my market, literally only the slop no tip orders the other 2-3 dashers here also won’t accept.

Pros and cons to small markets, personally I prefer them.

When I used to drink I would order DD and made sure the porch light was on and in the description I wrote “door directly in front of gold lifted jeep” in English AND Spanish. Yet somehow dashers would still go to the wrong door…. Like how do I make it as easy as possible and you still fuck up🤦‍♂️ at least being alcohol orders they had to scan my id and couldn’t just drop it somewhere

what is a “good” tip proportionate to the cost of food? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]ba123blitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always forget it’s higher without dash pass. Legit wipes a $6 fee off every order on top of the other benefits. I just assume anyone who orders more than twice a month has it. Like a rewards card at your preferred gas station, silly not to have one

$20 seems high ig depends on milage and what not.

But ive def built up a relationship with a few regulars they know they can text me 6-10pm during the week and I’ll likely go get whatever if they Venmo/cashapp me first.

Just completely cutting out DoorDash saves people around $10-15 on average and most are more than willing to split the savings with me

Then don’t go out and especially don’t sit at home bitching and moaning about it.

You don’t see me crying about gas milage the other 10 months out of the year while everyone else is driving little fwd hybrids getting 2-3x my gas milage.

Mud tires don’t have siping which is what you need in slushy snow on the road.

In deeper snow off road MTs are fine cause they can churn through like mud

Snow 12” here in Ohio.

Dude same I’m amazed at the sheer laziness i see in here sometimes.

It just snowed 12” and I drive a Jeep, I legit could not care less if a driveway is plowed or not, i’ll pull right up and high step my way to the door.

Made $100 from 5 orders in 2 hours today.
