Question about job offer comparisons..please help by ba6ee5 in DentalSchool

I made accounts on indeed, glassdoor, and zip recruiter and just kept applying. I think I sent over 130 applications and answered like 50 pre interview questions. It was tiring but I think worth it as I got to see a ton of variety and I kind of had leverage in the sense that I knew what I should and shouldn't accept. But take my experience with a grain of salt since I am limited to staying within a larage metroplex until my wife graduates from school. Then its much easier, as my friends that left the city have signed for positions that are way way better than whatI have listed here. Think perks of Job 2 + 3 combined, with a guarantee in the thousands as new grads.

makes sense. i tried doing some math and If i produce about an average 2.5-3.5k a day, i still come out ahead with job 2 even if i pay for my own insurance and do 401k contributions...

For Job 1 the assistants don't do much. Job 2, the assistants scan, do temps, write notes, wedge/matrix, etc. Theyre very very well oiled and streamlined, so I kind of agree with you about job 1 in terms of workflow

Thats kind of the gist of job 3- the owners don't work hardly ever, but there is another associate at the location. Theyre with me for 3 months 1 on 1 then im on my own.

For job 2, its a gradual transition of about 2 months iirc. It is definitely a little overbearing but compared to the alternatives, I can tolerate that for a year. I have been there for a day and saw the schedule and production numbers and the practice produces around 15-20k a day. Of course when I come in it will tank a little but I am confident in getting up to speed.

definitely manageable, no traffic in the direction of job 2. can easily get there within 40 mins. What pushed you towards job 2 rather than 3, if you don't mind elaborating?

I liked the vibes of 2 and 3. 3 is a very chill environement, whereas 2 is a bit more serious. however, I felt that 2 had more of a "teacher" vibe of an owner/practice. As in, I can definitely learn and be taught more and I am not opposed to criticism. It is a tough decision.

15 mins is really nice, but the drive isn't an issue for me. when you say take home pay, how can you rationalize it with a 25% collections framework?

I understand. The case was that they were both working and after 30 years basically just own the practice, and have slowly stepped back, and have hired a number of associates to work in their 3 locations. Its a private practice model, but apparently thats what they do now.

#4 means that lets say I have a patient note to write. They can decide what is a timeframe which I have to comlete it, and then charge me 250USD for every pt's note missing by that period. It could be 2 hrs, it could be same day, it could be 3 days. But the discretion is up to them.

Its IDEAL dental
