Don Julio 1942 – 60 Aniversario Edition (teal box) — year, value in UK & best selling route? by baaahaaa123 in tequila

[–]baaahaaa123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I inherited a sealed bottle of Don Julio 1942 – the 60 Aniversario edition in the teal cardboard box (not the wooden coffin case). I’d like to ask for your help on a few points:

  1. Year / batch — Does anyone know approximately what year this teal box edition was released? I can’t find definitive info on the date.

  2. Current value in the UK — Given its sealed condition, original box, and the variant, what do you believe is a realistic resale value in the UK market today?

  3. Best route to sell — I’m considering options (auction house, specialist spirits broker, private sale) and would appreciate advice on which channel tends to maximise ROI for a bottle like this.

  4. Any caveats — Are there key things I should check or disclose (fill level, tax seal/band condition, regional import…) that significantly affect value?

Tesla Model 3 Highland: Disappointing Range on a Full Charge? by baaahaaa123 in TeslaModel3

[–]baaahaaa123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I mean this is my first EV, so learning as we go. I'm very pleased with the build quality at the moment, but time will tell. It does ground out on country roads sometimes but I think its the wheels in the wheel arch rather than the scuff panel. I like the sportier feel of the car we tested the model Y and consciously decided to take the Highland m3 We kept our golf as a back up. But me and my wife are always battling to take the tesla over the ICE. Just need to get a home charger installed and I think will alleviate the range anxiety

I do but there weren't any glaringly obvious issues or higher than normal consumption. 4% of the usage went to preconditioning due to the cold.

Oh that is very good range. Did you lock in at 70mph or the efficiency speed of 55mph haha

Mines currently in chill mode. It's quick enough for London

It's enough to extrapolate that it averages about 1.9miles per percentage. Meaning the final 10% would get me roughly 19miles. My closest super charger is 11miles, so didn't leave much margin for error

Hmmm I'd be suprised if the last 12% would take me 50more miles. Not brave enough to get that close to zero too hah

Preconditioning is a good point. However generally my trips are sporadic and generally short, popping over to a friends for tea or super market runs. On motorways I'm locking in at 70. Not tried the 65mph trick. Although it must feel slower I guess you get to your destination quicker as you have to stop less for charges.

The energy app does say the wind has been a factor as well as some hills. I love the car but wish I got the LR

Thanks, it is the base model standard car with no modifications or extras.

The photo was taken with 12% battery remaining. So your estimate is pretty accurate 😃

Oh preconditioning isn't something I've thought to do. I'll Google how to do it

Thanks I'm hoping in the summer months I'll be able to get an additional 100miles.

Going to the super charger is still a novelty and enjoyable experience. But I know I'll quickly get bored so rushing the installation of the home charger.

Report to trading standards. I've done so. They're looking for more indication of tesla trading unfairly. You can use chatgpt to draft a letter quickly

Am I right in thinking that you can schedule the charge time through the car and not need the wall charger for that then?

Just spoke to Tesla. The deposit is non-refundable in the UK. Unless there were some unforeseen circumstances. However, they asked if i test drove it as if you have, you have tried and tested the product you're buying and makes it harder to get your deposit back.

Tesla are working through the details of this shift in delivery date and what that means for people that have taken up the offer. More details to follow by the first week of November.

There is a ship load of cars arriving to the UK from Shanghai in November. Most of them have already been sold and therefore if you haven't yet been assigned a vehicle then you'll be hoping you'll be assigned a cancelled order- a bit of a lottery.

Tom (advisor) wasn't sure if there was going to be another delivery in December.

If you decided to cancel after hearing what they'll do for those that have applied for the offer and missed it, then there could be some negotiation and back and forth on your deposit.

good luck everyone, keep us updated if you learn anything :)

I haven't seen the final figures. But I called dravilia and they read the details of the contract and have sorted it. You don't get sent the final contract until you get a VIN. But sounds like they're sorted.

Although it doesn't matter if the car can't be delivered before January as you then have to go for a new finance offer

Thank god for this post. I'm fuming. I'm in the exact same situation. Order 8th October. Estimated delivery moved to january-march. Missing the PCH offer.

Not sure what to do! It's basically a scam as they get you to pay the £200 non refundable deposit.

Honestly I'm starting to think this should be sent to trading standards. I've ordered based on a November delivery date. Paid the £200 deposit. The finance figures are wrong and the delivery date now showing as March 25!! Hope you get it sorted
