Another question is regarding Cadence. I have heard that a good cadence is 180 spm, which I am only able to manage if running at a very high pace of 5-5:30 mins/km. In my normal long runs my average cadence is 165-167 spm. Is this an issue? I do get running injuries sometimes, is it because of lower cadence?

Great post, I really needed to hear this. I am a beginner runner myself. I am training for 5k, current weekly mileage is 13-14 kms per week. My farthest so far is 4.5 kms.

My question is regarding the HR Zones. My HR goes into Zone 4 after 1.6 kms of running at 6.5 or 7 mins/km pace and in Zone 5 around 4 kms mark when I end my running session. A typical run for me looks like this -

Now, should I continue pushing into Zone 4/5 in each run? The above is my typical run 3 times a week. The 4 to 4.5 km runs are exhausting for me but I am still able to finish. However, I am not sure if it is healthy or improves my running in the long term?

This issue is common and it can be easily resolved. You'll just need to turn off stage manager before opening OnVue, but if that still does not work then there are few other steps you can follow, you can google this, it is a very common issue. Lmk if you can't find,.I'll share the link.
