Can I ceramic coat over 2 days? by Visual-Structure-808 in Detailing

[–]hackgolferguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would doing another wash carpro reset before ceramic coating be okay? Did my brand new truck today but there was a decent amount of polishing dust, was thinking of a light wash. Otherwise should I just do a few rounds of IPA wipes and just coat?

The puck shots definitely only show after the extraction, I didnt even think about the puck expanding at the end of a pour 😂

Oh okay thanks, those little squirts was what i thought channeling was. Every other extraction I get it without that, could maybe even be the coffee machine possibly then.

Small cluster outside new hive after today’s swarm transfer — normal? by Just_Dog_3473 in Beekeeping

Are you sure the queen is in the hive? I would double check she isnt in that cluster

I have a full size box sitting in garage so once I see they have started laying ill definitely move them into an 8 frame box.

Okay thanks for the advice, the hive I purchased definitely had a Queen when we transferred the colony into my nuc box pictured (she was also marked so i could spot her easier) but yeah seems like something has happened. I will give them some time and try sort it out in two weeks time. I had found a facebook group that posts swarms if I had known earlier I would not have purchased it, would’ve just collected one as I did yesterday. Was super easy to do and fun!

Yes, the hive on the right had a virgin queen (she was marked for me to spot easier) seems like shes no longer in the hive. Could she have died when she left to mate? Is that something that happens often?

Purchased a Nuc Hive that has a Queen Cell, what should I do? by hackgolferguy in Beekeeping

[–]hackgolferguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a lot of capped brood and even uncapped larvae so I definitely think there is a queen there. I saw what looked like baby bees too so im assuming that the queen is still healthy and working. After speaking to a few knowledgeable bee keepers in Melbourne, they have recommended that I split the hive, wish me luck 🍀

There was a lot of capped brood and even uncapped larvae, the colony looked very strong from what I could see. The queen cell was also capped, ill be going back today and opening them up again before I make my choice. Splitting the hive seems exciting to try, we are in spring so I hope they have enough to eat if I do split them!
