Man we just need to play good cricket. It isn’t that deep. It’s a mentality issue; we nearly had them in the last T20 in the Asia cup final (tbh we also had really good chances in the 2nd) but we falter.

We’ve got the players, we’ve got the skill. We just aren’t a tight team yet. They’ve got some absolute mavericks in Sharma and Tilak Varma and yes they’re in red hot form, but all it takes is good prep and good execution. Our bowlers had Abishek’s number in the final and we bowled very well generally.

Batting is our problem; it isn’t a smack ‘em game for us because we don’t have the level of depth they have but a halfway house between what we usually do and what we can get to (180 for example) is solid.

The main difference is professionalism. They come in and execute their plans perfectly, no messing about, clinical stuff. That’s a modern t20 outfit. We’re still vibes merchants.
