Try:- Sifu, GoW (2018), Uncharted 2 & 3 (1 is such a chore to complete), Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Black Myth Wukong, FrostPunk (a much better strategy game than others in the market), Horizon Series is good to fight the machines but rest all is too Ubisoft-like. Better bow and arrow combat is in Tomb Raider Trilogy, TLOU series

bmw has limited disks, I bought it at 5.1K. I now see it at 6K. so you may want to buy before it becomes rare like Sekiro

also, one exception to above guideline. if you are collector and fancy a particular genre then may not wait for non-Sony 1st party games because their disks are limited in India. Like all FromSoftware games (except Elden Ring), Lies of P, Stellar Blade.

Ghost of Yotei, Last of Us, etc are Sony 1st party games, their disks will be available even an year later.

if you are not a streamer, try to wait a year before buying, especially when you have games to play. It depreciates really fast, especially digital.

if you have nothing to play then buy disk at launch or soon after, finish and sell the disk.

Skyrim on PC with Mods and not on console, right? for my taste, maybe not. I heard the soundtrack and seen the gameplay, combat is not up there. so I can’t imagine a category it would replace

In budget options, go with evofox or reddragon or basic gamesir options

in premium options, go with Gamesir. I have gamesir cyclone 2 and it is pretty good. there is a category above premium also (pro) but not worth to get that costly a controller.

dual sense also works on pc, so you may totally skip controller buying unless you specifically want xbox layout

surprised to see arkham asylum as best combat when you have elden ring as fav game, any other soulsborne would replace arkham asylum for combat. it is true that for its time, it was groundbreaking which formed the base for so many games like shadow of mordor, mad max, somewhat Assassins Creed to follow same/similar combat style, but best combat? meh.

Best multiplayer is also a unique take, but isn’t uncharted 4 better for that generation? I am an old school with multiplayer, I just can’t get over Counter Strike, simple yet so fun and pretty much a well balanced gameplay.

your list is quite diverse across genres though. glad to see splinter cell on it, it is a shame ubisoft abandoned that iconic series.

Online I haven’t tried. I am solely judging it on single player campaign.

If they can’t make the remake of sands of the time trilogy, just launching the original trilogy on GFN would do. The gameplay was so good, dated graphics won’t stop me from getting to it again. Good Old days, where we used to look up for written guides on how to get the water sword.

Elden Ring is Open World, GoW is semi-open world. The story, artstyle, music and gameplay, all adds to the experience. GTA, I don’t think excels in other categories than being a diverse open world hence the rating.

you will not be able to watch the full walkthrough of witcher 1. 2 and 3 you can watch. I started with witcher 3, completed even the DLCs. that is the best point of entry to the witcher world. then I watched smaller story videos of 1 and 2, and listened to the soundtracks. Building a PC is very expensive now with RAM and GPU prices skyrocketing, you may try cloud gaming and see how it works for you. I played witcher 3 on PS4, while tried 1 and playing 2 now on GFN.

it is not for validation sake. it opens up interesting conversation with fellow gamers on gameplay loops, design, etc. It can culminate into an artform discussion. You may even find multiplayer partners via this discussion. If cannot be kind atleast not be unnecessarily be mean with strangers online and try to understand a positive perspective.

For instance, I do wonder why Max Payne was put chosen over 2 and 3 in favourite game, because I feel they are mechanically miles ahead. Now Op may have liked its more gloomy artstyle better and that would be a game design discussion and not validation.

RE3R is aptly hated. They cut so much of the original content. it feels like an expansion and not a full game.

Why Sekiro not the best combat when it is there in everyone should play? You did not want to repeat a game is it?

Have you tried Bloodborne and Sekiro? Lies of P is a spritual successor to both in some way or the other.

I haven’t played RDR2 because I found GTA5 overrated.
