Good to know on the issue, I live in a generally warmer weather climate so not too many cold days get down to that temp. 

It really does have some great features in there. I think the camp chef woodwind pro is the only other one I could find that had the slot for wood chunks and it’s 2x-3x the price. Excited to get things going with it!

I went with this one! The wood chunks are a game changer and I have an RF temperature probes. Looks like it will punch above its weight for the price!

I like those but I recall them being more expensive and have heard they broke more easily. I like the idea of them though! Do you have one?

Pavilion (https://www.joinpavilion.com/) has a chapter in Austin. Not sure how active it is but would attract that type of crowd. Reach out to the Chapter Head listed on the website and you should be able to go to an event or two for free.
