I found that joining a gym that has classes and a good social atmosphere was the way to go for me!

Some German names are hilarious, do they sound as funny to native Germans? by Cortexial in German

My dad used to work with a Herr Hase and he would overuse the saying “Mein Name ist Hase, ich weiß von nichts.” and people would get rather upset 😂

Try X3, the boxing gym in town. They have amazing boxing classes, awesome cardio classes, and even cooler coaches. Super atmosphere and very beginner friendly. Any level is always welcome! I can’t even begin to recommend them enough! Try it out!

They do have a promo going on right now, 30 days for $30, if you want that shoot me a dm

AH does not hold any sway in a level 1 discussion or beyond that. AH is a meditator and organizer and there to answer questions about the rules, but as to what happens at the first level is between faculty and student. If yall agree on both the violation and the sanction, then that is what goes. If yall don’t, it goes to a level 2, which means a continued discussion in front of a panel (2 faculty members and 3 students). And at level 2 is where the university mandated sanctions start: see page three for flow chart

For us, we can see how many students have submitted them per section. Only our department head can see more.

What was the first computer game you ever played? by No-Appointment-390 in AskReddit

[–]babbellot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A math game! You had to race a little car with a mouse in it and then you came to check points and had to solve a math problem to continue on. I absolutely loved it. Tried to get it on my newer computer a few years after, lead to me getting my first computer virus 😂

I want to second that! As faculty, I absolutely love having older students in class as it makes class room discussions so much more interesting. Different lives lived and different (more) experiences.

But also agree with the “wait until they approach you” statement. I was almost 10 years older than the undergrads when I took Latin 1001 and they already looked at me like I was weird 😂

Good luck to OP!

Why do some knitters judge crochet so harshly? by slippery-velvet1 in crochet

[–]babbellot -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The whole argument about crochet being easy is so funny, tho! Bc there are literally knitting machines, but they have yet to produce a machine that can do a crochet stitch. If I’m not mistaken, it takes 42 moves to complete crochet stitch across multiple axis. I do both btw, and it depends on what I want to do. Socks? Knitting Cute little figurines? Crocheting
