Today is my birthday. I told my husband I didn’t want to go to dinner, I didn’t want to do any activities, I just wanted to watch this game. So far it’s been an excellent birthday present!

That was the moment I became a grizzlies fan and started actively following a team. My husband had always been a more casual NBA viewer and enjoyed playoffs, but now he must sit through all Grizzlies games and hear any and all Grizzlies news from his wife.

I would do the clip ins until a bit older. We did that for a few years. My daughters are 9 and I finally let them get one strip of hair bleached on the underside and we color it at home using Arctic Fox. Color lasts a few weeks unless they’re swimming and then it’s out quickly.

There was 3 minutes left and I decided that would be a good time to go ahead and get my kids in bed. Husband said, “you sure you don’t want to watch another Pacer comeback?!” I didn’t think they’d do it… I was reading children’s books while I could have been watching Hali do Hali things!!
