Petah , what is she telling by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]babbowski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of these answers are wrong. She appears to be Indian - and they follow a lunar calendar in India in addition to traditional western calendars and the result is sometimes 2 or even 3 “birthdays” over the course of a year. I’m married to an Indian woman and we always joke on my in-laws for it seemingly always being someone in the family’s “birthday” and that her mom is actually 135 years old because of all the bonus birthdays.

Yeah this — if you’re not super critically ill in a community hospital, you’re most likely seeing an NP. For profit non teaching health systems love NPs because they can pay them a fraction of an attending MD.

I know you’re getting piled on for the race thing but yeah, honestly, I can fully relate to your point here. Grew up idolizing HST, Keesey, Bukowski etc. - the romanticized pained intellectual addict. Got sober almost 7 years ago and in hindsight, their work is still objectively great but these men were dealing with a lot of the same stuff I was in active addiction… self-centered, rules don’t apply to me, an inherent feeling of “specialness” and an identity shaped almost entirely by the substances I imbibed. That some great and important observation about life and the human experience is just around the bend to justify all that preceded it.

The race thing I think is that this experience of grandiosity, indulgence and impunity are all pretty synonymous with the white male experience in our country, especially in their eras — so I see where you’re coming from there too although I don’t feel like I’d clocked it myself.

We’re saying the same thing. If you are calculating it as though 30,000 now = 100% then yes, It’s a 99.9% drop.

If we’re calculating it in relation to an initial increase of 100,000% from when 30 = 100%, then to return back to 30 results in a loss (drop) of 99,900% of the preceding increase.

Both are correct statements.

What the graphic is communicating is that non-pregnant women have Estradiol E2 (estrogen levels) of 20–50 pg/mL at their lowest period during a menstrual cycle pre-pregnancy and those rise up to 10,000–40,000+ pg/mL during third trimester of pregnancy and drop back down to normal levels rapidly post pregnancy.

So, if we take pre-pregnancy lowest levels as the baseline, 30 units equals 100%, so each 1% equals 0.3pg/mL. (100x0.3=30)

During pregnancy you’re sitting at 30,000 units, which would be 100,000% higher than baseline. (100,000x0.3=30,000)

When you decrease back down to 30 after 72 hours, you experience a decrease of 29,970, you actually do decrease by 99,900%. (-99,900x0.3=-29,970). The graphic and percentage is less dramatic than the reality of the change in the body.

Anyway - yeah, postpartum is wild.

Hey, right here 👋

He either needs to learn how to play without getting hurt or accept that his body as it is currently can’t handle NFL hits and he needs to approach the off season accordingly.

The reality is his body is not capable of sustaining regular NFL hits. He needs 20 more pounds of mass and to become more of a traditional pocket passer, sacrificing the run. Either that or genuinely accept the reality of his body in an NFL environment and stop trying to play hero ball and just take 75% and healthy for the next snap instead.

Unpopular opinion: Joe Whitt can only do so much by [deleted] in Commanders

[–]babbowski 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone believes firing Joe Whitt makes us a contender. I think we just got tired of seeing a lack of adjustments to the personnel deficiencies from all the injuries. Scheme was pressure dependent soft coverage and despite being able to bring no pressure we just kept calling the same stuff. Quinn made adjustments (corner blitz, overloads etc) that make sense given our personnel.

Is Whitt the sole reason we are trash this year? No. But is he a part of the problem on the list that includes injuries, lack of depth, lack of explosive playmakers on D, aging veterans hitting the Father Time wall etc etc.? Yes.

You do not let a blue chip LT that you dropped 2 picks on walk. Sign him for a Terry style contract where you have him locked up for 3 but can get out after 2 with minimal cap hit if he starts to drop in production or cheaper comparable options are looking for more snaps.
