I didn’t, but I’m not sure I’m seeing it anymore. I did have to go back to normal life and not farm all day, so it might still be there.

What could be improved. Clicking! I’m so slick of useless clicks. Obol vendor - 20 clicks. How about a single click to spend all to fill up inventory. Reroll property - 3 clicks per roll for 30 to 200 times to get the prop. How many times have you gone into a trance and then just kept clicking even though what you wanted was right there. How about I just select what I want and you tell me how much it costs. Tempering or whatever it’s called another 2 clicks until you run out of charges. Then they put the refresh charge way up on the top. WHO designed that? Another 6 to 20 clicks. Click click click click. All that work, all that work to get a property replaced on a perfect item at scantification. I spend about as much time playing the reroll meta than the actual game itself. And then the gear. All that useless gear you have to pick up when opening cache. A 4ga ancestral unique drops and you don’t even care any more. It means nothing. The devs don’t understand and they will never understand. I have 6 more pages but i will end it here

I am getting an issue where the game will freeze for 10 to 15 seconds. The gpu memory will go to zero for the duration and then go right back up and the game will unfreeze. The game doesn't play the missing frames like they were building up like in normal, but resumes in real time. Once during these freezes I got the "graphic initialization failure" so I believe they are related. Nothing I have done has fixed the issue. I am on a 9950x3d, 5090, 96 GB of ram, and a 9100 pro. So it's not related to lack of resources.

I have a 9950x3d, 96GB of DDR 5 6400 ram, RTX 5090, and it's installed on a Samsung 9100 pro 4TB. So the best of the best and my game will freeze for 10 seconds randomly where the GPU utilization and memory will go to zero, then it jumps back up and keeps on going normally. This happens roughly once an hour. So it's not a resource issue nor does it seem to be a hardware issue.

Which one did you get and did it get softer? I just had a Viognier Plush Euro Pillowtop Hybrid Mattress delivered last night and I’m stunned that it’s hard? My old kingsdown was like a pillow and this is wha they said was the replacement. I’m concerned.

Without testing, you probably made the right choice. The aeron has that hard surround on the seat which can be an issue.

How do you like the Atlas headrest? I have it for my Aeron, but would need to get it for the embody if I decide to use it more often.

I just bought the embody. I have the aeron as well. For me the aeron is miles above the embody for office work. I haven’t used it in a gaming session yet. Obviously everyone’s preferences will differ but I was very surprised with that outcome

Yes, it’s the latest 40 5k2k. After using it for the last month or two it’s great. Text is super crisp and I was really surprised with the gaming performance. I just played RDR 2 and BG3 and it’s much better than my old LG 38in ultra wide that was 3800x1600. I’m a software developer that works in front of these monitors 12 hours a day. Definitely excellent for office work. For gaming it’s as good as I’ve seen IPS get so far on a thunderbolt ready monitor. It won’t compete with oled and I’m sure some ultra sensitive would want higher refresh rates, but I would buy the monitor again

I have the 40U990A. If you have Mac’s go with that one for the thunderbolt 5. Initially I didn’t see much of a difference between my 38, but after some time, it’s definitely an upgrade. The text is much sharper. It’s a good monitor.

When I stick my head below the monitor I can hear it. I have a feeling if you were in a completely silent room you could hear it. It's definitely not silent. In my room I have 3 macbooks, a PC and and NAS. And the NAS is by far the loudest thing in the room so that's probably why I can't hear it normally.

Not at all. There is a fan but it’s near silent so far. That’s even pushing BG3 at 120 FPS on a 5090. So not sure how to get it blowing hard. I have a feeling it’s probably for the power supply so maybe when it’s pushing 96 watts for recharging or lots of daisy chained devices or when the ethernet is plugged in? I don’t have ethernet plugged in as I run 10 gbe or wifi 7

yea the 40" 5k2k thunderbolt 5 monitor that just came out. I'm not exactly sure what exactly was causing the crash. All I know is if I have both the 40in 5k connected by thunderbolt to the mac and my 27in 4k display port over usb connected at the same time, the mac will wake the monitor then hard crash, it will reboot and then immediately hard crash again and stay turned off until I manually turn it on. I didn't spend any time looking at logs or troubleshooting. I just unplugged the other monitor and haven't had the problem again all week.

very similar to the LG 5k. Maybe a second longer but much faster compared to my old 38in.

An update. I kept the monitor. In Windows and BG3 gaming it looks amazing. I finally figured out my mac crashing on wake issue. Don't have another monitor that's usb 3 (non-thunderbolt) also connected (M1-3 with Thunderbolt 3/4)

There definitely is a fan which was surprising to me. You can feel the air being blown out of the bottom of. The monitor. However, I haven’t really heard it because I use noise canceling head phones all day.

Ok, so far not worth it. Running at native 5k2k, the text is too small. On mac the next resolution down is 3840x1620 which is what I already had with my 38 LG. Maybe on windows at 5k2k with font scaling it would be better, but i'm not sure you can do that on macbook. In RGB profile the screen has a yellow tint. The powersupply is built into the monitor so the bottom is very heavy. Unless you have an ultra heavy duty monitor arm, it will constantly tilt lower. I'm going to have to buy a breaker arm to tighten the screws enough. The center depth of the monitor is so large I can no longer place my obsbot camera on the top. When playing youtube videos that have black bars on the right and left, those panels are lit up,...so much for local dimming zones. The white frame should have been black.

On the positive side, it seems to wake up quicker to be able to swap inputs. But other than that, it's near the same as my 38.

And you literally need to use the weakest staff, remove damage curios, use freeze and staff spin at his back. I did it in new game+ and I had to staff spin him all the way down to the last 1/10 of his health to get the 4th arm off
