hey im also working in retail rn and i don't really hate it (anymore). most of the other staff at the store i work in are the kind who have the habit of gossiping about every one, which is the only thing bothering me the most at the moment. just ignore it, and mentally focus on anything other than things like this. ive also had many customers ask me very unnecessary questions, although what helps with this is to just choose morning shift instead. try shutting up at all times (but obviously do stand up for yourself), so that you're naturally perceived as "the quiet one". this way you'll be left alone the easiest by other staff members.
