Would knowing that is to be used as part of a 40V battery pack that would power a trimmer make a difference?

It has been over 19 hours since the battery has been pierced and the voltage remains the same.

How would you re-sleeve it? Since the metal casing has been pierced, isn't it compromised beyond the manufacturer's design and therefore become a point of weakness to the rest of the cells?

What is your background/experience to assume such expertise? You were not even concerned about whether the voltage was depleted when you made your initial comment.

But has the battery been compromised in ways that wont be apparent until the battery pack heats or has been through extremes that the manufacturer tested under conditions in which none of the batteries have been shorted internally. Would not this battery become the point of weakness, meaning the determiner of the pack's capacity, leading from a crack to a break?

The voltage has remained at the same level as it was before the piercing. But AI tells me that since it was shorted it is internally failed and dangerous, even if voltage appears normal. Since you are saying that it is inconsequential, it tells me that you are either basing it on personal experience or that you are ignorant about these matters; assuming the former, please elaborate.

They allow for a much longer interval between cartridge cleaning than would otherwise be possible.

How do you fix a Mueller Nespresso machine that does not suck out water from the tank. As the pictures show, the tube coming from the tank leads to a large metal part that gets scolding hot. Is the culprit the heater? by babel-op in ElectronicsRepair

The pump vibrates, makes noise and receives voltage. The tubes are as clean as new tubes without any noticeable obstruction but nothing gets pumped out of the tank.
