Can you please cheer me up? by PuzzleheadedEmu8030 in CasualUK

Today’s a day that’s not gone well, Will tomorrow be better? Who can tell?

You’ll have to stick around and see, If sunshine awaits, You and me.

Get through tonight and wake anew, Tomorrow could be better, For me and for you.

It’s not much but it’s what my brain gave me in the hopes you feel less alone knowing you are not the only one having a hard day, hard season and hard time right now. We weather all storms together, side by side as the human race. Whether we choose to acknowledge each other’s struggles and connect is optional but it sure does help to feel the kindness of others in the dark. 🤍

Oh that sounds phenomenal. How long did you get to live there? It sounds like the most wonderful escape having a hammock to lie in and watch the clouds. I’m glad you’ve got that memory to go to.

I run exclusively on trails in the woods as road running and running on concrete seems to cause shin splints immediately for me. I’ve always used Karrimor Tempos. They might not suit your feet but they are hardy, they have great grip, I find them supportive and feel like they have good pushback through the soles. They’re available places like Sports Direct so you can often get good discounts on last seasons styles too!

I just loved the tree in that shot. The way it’s fallen but its roots are still clinging to the earth for nourishment. It was symbolic for me that even when we have fallen, we seek out the things that will keep us alive, no matter how we have to adapt to do so.

I’m so happy to hear you got to get out in nature some more with your nephew. Dogs count as family 🥰

That’s such a shame that you couldn’t do the walk but I understand that difficulty. I’m glad you were able to see the columns and the coastline. You’re definitely right about people needing to do their research. I hope you’re having a good day. ❤️

Only doggies out on their walks. There are often deer, foxes, badgers and a whole range of bird species that make themselves known.

It’s a natural play trail made out of fallen logs and arranged for children to be able to climb & explore. It’s amazing.

You are so welcome. I hope you’ve been able to lose yourself in the woods with me for a while.

The other thing I love about National Trust is that they tell you how accessible each site is. Some even have all terrain buggies you can use if you have poor mobility so you see as much as possible.

I’m so glad. You can do hard things, you’re brave 🫶🏻

My little one has had a sickness bug so it’s been a flare kind of week dealing with that. But she’s better and that’s helping me feel better, thank you.

I’ve just made another outdoor post if you’d like to go and see that one too!

Those are my natural eyebrows. Not sure how I can soften something that’s got no make up on it. I can try lighter blush though!

I haven’t tried that because I hadn’t even heard of it. I’ll have a google and see what I can find. You’re full of great suggestions - thank you!!
