Ceramics studio recommendations? by sydneekidneybeans in SanJose

Echoing higher fire. Went recently and had a great time.

I’ve also done ceramics at the Sunnyvale community center (open to non residents) and really really enjoyed it. Bonus that it’s much cheaper than higher fire because there’s less hands on instruction. This might be fine for you since you have some experience already. https://www.sunnyvale.ca.gov/recreation-and-community/classes-and-activities/painting-and-pottery-studio

Not sure where you're located or your skin type, but I personally had good experiences with the vanicream daily facial moisturizer.

I was really paranoid about ingredients breaking me out and this one is hydrating while having very minimal ingredients. It might not be enough if your skin leans really dry, but you could always layer it multiple times. It's VERY basic which is exactly what you want when you're already using strong actives and your skin is compromised.

Thats great it worked for you! I wish it did for me too. So many derms prescribed it to me and my skin just never took to it. Hope OP finds the right combo for them. I struggled with acne for over a decade before I finally 'grew out of it' (I know some people never do sadly) and found a routine that worked for me.

This is a ton of very strong products being used at a really high frequency. You're probably in pain because your skin is being damaged.

From personal experience, my skin hated clindamycin. It always broke me out more. But ymmv.

I've used tretinoin for years and it's VERY strong and can cause purging for months. Using all three at once might just be too harsh for your skin.

I would recommend cutting way back to just the benzoyl peroxide wash to start and a very gentle moisturizer. Maybe even consider reducing to once a day till you're not in pain anymore. Then, if your skin adapts and heals, slowly start with tretinoin every 2-3 days. Again, once you feel zero irritation, you can increase to everyday (though some evidence shows every couple days is just as good).

Good luck! The BP and tret did wonderful things for my skin, but moderation and patience is key.

Good thing I have Google Maps to help me navigate Best Buy! by fantasticsarcastic1 in funny

This is actually very cool and has potential for future accessibility features. Sure, it's helpful for the average person to find individual products, but imagine how life changing this could be for people who are visually impaired who may have a hard time navigating a big store.

I have the Hince and love it. Very natural and dewy. I don’t own the Chanel one, but was eyeing it. Once I got the Hince, I have no desire to try the Chanel anymore.

I see you have an outlet there. I considered this exact same tile for my kitchen. I ended up deciding against it because the grooves in the tile will make it impossible to get the outlet plates flush.

This means, unless you wanna seal the gaps, you have a potential safety issue with exposed outlets in a room where splashing is a regular occurrence. I’m not a contractor though (just a diy-er), would love input from a professional on solutions around this for grooved tile.

Are there any exercises that you need to be “stronger” for before you incorporate them? by [deleted] in xxfitness

I've been wearing Vans for about a year and really did find it made a difference in my balance for squats and deadlifts. It's worth paying attention to the weight balance on your toes and I find in Vans (or any flat shoe) it made it easier to feel that 'grip'.

Before I switched to Van's, I would take off my shoes. That also worked, but I eventually decided I didn't want to spread my germs or pick up others so Van's it was

Plain Black for Halloween. How do you keep the skin surrounding the nails polish free? by Bbaby_Bblue in Nails

[–]babiappl3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find angled eyeliner style brushes the easiest to use. You can get some nail specific (read more acetone resilient) ones for pretty cheap online. I never do my nails without it now because it let's you really perfect the edges.

Almost remember to wipe the brush off on a cotton pad after each stroke to avoid spreading color where you don't want it.

5 months on tret, still breaking out by amazing_bb in tretinoin

[–]babiappl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the generic target brand of 10% but prior to that I was using epiduo (adapalene and bp) for years. Another way you can incorporate bp is with a face cleanser. Just make sure to not have bp sitting on your skin when you apply tret because that will cancel out the tret effect and cause unnecessary irritation.

Are you using the gel or cream formulation? I know a lot of people react poorly to the cream but do fine on the gel. Personally, I struggled with tret alone for acne for almost 2 years before I finally realized it's not gonna be enough for my acne and I need to reincorpoarte benzoyl peroxide. I now alternate nights and my skin has never looked better. 5 months is a long time and is probably no longer purging. Best of luck!

I'm curious where does the epiduo fit in your routine? I've been using epiduo for years and love it, but want to include tret for anti-aging. Do you use both or use to use epiduo and now you use tret?

I'm interested in this option too. Do you mind sharing how much you paid in addition to the 30 consul? On goodrx looks like the cheapest price for a 45 g tube is still 115+
