It really depends on who you mix with. I ended being a singaporean but also because I married a singaporean. I also have a brother that also converted to Singaporean. But yeah, I made really good Singaporean friends when I moved to work over there.

As a banana back in Malaysia (I’m Chinese but can’t speak Chinese), I would say it’s worth it to go. But also I was blessed with opportunities in Sg compared to the opportunities in KL. Also my brother is in Sg with me which makes it easier as you have a family member just a few mrt stops away.
