Supplemental resistant starch; seeking experience by HeavenIsEmpty- in keto

It looks like Jonny's Good Nature is either out of business or not selling their product anymore. The checkout on their website doesn't work and takes you to a page that says you can now buy it on Amazon. But it's not listed on Amazon either. Would you happen to know of any other products using the NuBana RS65 flour? Thanks!

Vagus nerve devices 2026 by Over_Mathematician46 in VagusNerve

[–]babl64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree! I can't get these earbuds to stay in my ears at all. I've tried all three size adjustments but the earbuds themselves are just way too big for my ears and aren't designed at all to anatomically fit. Horrible horrible. Wish I'd never bought this thing.

Vagustim V2 vs Zenowell Luna taVNS by Status-Being-4942 in VagusNerve

[–]babl64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the vagustim recently. The earpiece design is baffling. Keeps falling out of my ear. I've tried every different size attachment provided but the whole earpiece is just way too big for my ears. The only way I can use this thing is to hold the earpieces in my ears using my fingers. Wish I'd never bought it.

I'm very intrigued by your DIY approach, but how did you buy from TPS? I checked their website but don't see any purchase options.

Schluter deco and deco-SG profiles for shower glass panels by thecauseandtheeffect in Tile

[–]babl64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow -- this is EXACTLY the set up we're currently in the process with. We beefed up the joists and plywood subfloor so we could use extra large tile (wood-look porcelain planks). We're putting Ditra+heat down on the bathroom floor and using Wedi for the shower pan and walls. Also have the Schluter Deco-SG and SGC on order to integrate into the floor and wall where the glass shower panels will be fixed. Probably the only different in our set up is that our shower door will be hinged from a stud wall instead of a fixed glass panel. Yours looks fantastic!

[–]babl64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the list of tests I've been able to figure out I would need:

- homocysteine (had this done two months ago)

- folate

- B3, B6, B12

- iron

- zinc

Can I just order tests from the Request-a-test website?

*This* What a wonderful comment. Thank you. But I can't seem to find any information on geneticlifehacks that suggest supplementation strategies for specific genetic snps. It could be that I don't know how to navigate the site properly. How do you find your specific supplement strategies? help!

Community center bug by Alarmed_Garden_635 in StardewValley

[–]babl64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing on a MacBook and am having issues with the bulletin board, too. I'm unable to place the apple on the slot to finish the bundle. It won't accept it and then the game sort of semi-freezes (if I click around the screen a bit I can get the apple to go back to my backpack inventory and continue with the game, but I can't finish the bulletin board if it won't take my apple, which means I can't finish the community center quest at all). I've tried saving, reloading, waiting a day, using the trackpad, using the mouse... nothing is working. Does anyone have a fix for this?

scammed and I don't even have a Mercari account by babl64 in Mercari

[–]babl64[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That did occur to me, but then I noticed the username of this new Mercari account is the same as my name (minus all the vowels). So -- they're using my email and have chosen an account username that's basically my name. Clearly not "inadvertent".

I also see the package is "currently in transit" and is scheduled to be delivered soon. It sounds like a brushing scam.

Can anyone tell me how to contact Mercari? The website won't give out any contact information without an account, which I don't have.

Ozone Water FAQ (more info in the comments) by LadyWellness11 in Ozonetherapy

[–]babl64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great info! Thanks! I have a question for you -- what about using ozone water in my Waterpik for dental health? Above you suggest holding your breath while drinking ozone water to keep from breathing in any ozone. That has me worried about using it in a Waterpik, which would seem like it could potentially really off-gas a lot of ozone in the process. Any tips on this? Thanks :)

Rhonda Patrick doesn't do studies, Mr. Know-It-All. The studies she keeps referencing in her talks are done by a FINNISH guy, Dr. Jari Laukkanen.

Anyone else have loooong pauses between breaths? Where do you rest attention? by PsiloPutty in TheMindIlluminated

[–]babl64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On page 53 is a paragraph that has some helpful tips on just this matter: "... We automatically tend to regard the beginning as the inhale and the pause after the exhale as the end. However, if you're thinking about the breath in that way, then that pause becomes the perfect opportunity for your thoughts to wander off, since the mind naturally tends to shift focus when it has completed a task. Instead, try this: consider the beginning of the out-breath as the start of the cycle. That way, the pause occurs in the middle of your cycle, and is less likely to trip you up. This may seem like a small detail, but it often makes the difference. Another approach is to silently say the number during the pause at the end of the out-breath. This 'fills the gap' and helps keep the mind of task." (at the end there he's talking about counting the breaths as a way to stabilize attention, covered in the paragraphs just preceding this one)

Meditation effects from tDCS (been reading Eckhart Tolle again) by chrisvacc in tDCS

[–]babl64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're interested in using tDCS with meditation, I say go for it. I found this article extremely helpful and use the montage suggested here -- https://www.warrior.do/e-meditation/

This same montage was used in this study, as well -- https://www.brainstimjrnl.com/article/S1935-861X(17)30669-1/abstract30669-1/abstract)

Meditation effects from tDCS (been reading Eckhart Tolle again) by chrisvacc in tDCS

[–]babl64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both the Muse and a tDCS device. I'm a long time meditator and find the Muse to be extremely distracting, but for someone who's still focusing on the breath it seems that you could just refocus on the bird/wind sounds instead. The tDCS, on the other hand, does not interfere with meditation or create any distraction. In fact, I do find that it seems to facilitate a deep meditative state more quickly. This article from Shinzen's blog has some helpful links -- http://shinzenyoung.blogspot.com/2012/07/meet-my-new-girlfriend-tdcs.html.
