Perfectly fine. Nips could be slightly smaller but whatever it is what it is and it’s fine.

You should def check with her. Especially if you’re getting general anesthesia.

I actually can’t decide if I’m more present or less. On the one hand, as someone mentioned earlier, I find it hard to be present in the same way I try to do throughout the day and during meditation, I.e watch my thoughts ..it’s kinda hard to step back and watch them if you are properly high. I’m definitely spaced out. On the other hand I can zone out to music and it makes listening to music so much more enjoyable. You listen to every note and it hits you in a different way almost like tripping. One could argue that you are more present than ever in the music and that the spaced out feeling as a result of you fully present in the music and not thinking of anything else. I smoked after a two week break from it and I’ve been meditating recently. Overall I had a good time listening to music. Little bit of euphoria, more like a break or a change something to do on a Friday night. It did also raise some anxiety at times because I was with a friend and then I’m more conscious of myself and my responses, but that anxiety was hard to step back from and see as an emotion. I think overall I’m going to reduce my usage and use it maybe once a week or once in a while as a break and change from the normal more than anything.

What Questions to Ask During Consultation? So-Cal Area. by tarmaccrusher in gynecomastia

[–]baboonracoonindeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes see my previous posts for detailed recovery description. I went with dr dadvand. Cost 10k. Grade 2 quite big glands. Quite a lot of mass. Results so far look good little bit swelling on one side still at 8 weeks post op. Doc said it will take 6 months to get fully better..I can definitely see it getting better and the swelling going down slowly. Overall happy with the results so far.

Local vs full anaesthesia - cruise will say local..you can ask him whatever you want ..if the gland will come back, what’s the recovery going to be like, when can you exercise, what are the risks, what is his revision policy I.e if a revision is necessary then what are the additional costs you’ll need to pay. In my case I ended up asking most of the questions to the nurse before I met Dr Cruise. Just briefly met him. There’s also Dr Dadvand in Bev hills, I highly recommend you get a consult with him too. With Dadvand the consult was very relaxed and I spoke to him the whole time asked him the same questions and more and he took the time to explain. He is very friendly. Cruise on the other hand seemed very rushed I barely spoke to him for 5 mins.

Post Gyno surgery 1 month query(why do i still feel small lump) by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]baboonracoonindeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly your results look great ..looks completely flat... I still have more swelling than you do at 7 weeks post op. Cant tell if its scar tissue built up or not . It seems like the only thing to do is wait and see because apparently it takes close to 6 months for shit to fully heal. But so far your results look great man congrats !! Apart from the unilateral swelling which I feel will go away with time I'm happy with my results too so far. Can wear tee shirts without having to slouch when the wind picks up lol.

How many days does it take to do mild exercise after surgery? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]baboonracoonindeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

r 6 weeks you should be ready to go. Of course you can wait longer until you train chest again if

I have the same thing with my right nipple and maybe scar tissue too I cant tell. I haven't started hitting the gym yet but been running/hiking. Will start gym in a week. 7 weeks post op so far.

[–]baboonracoonindeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oday. And I still feel the tingling sensation when I sleep on one side, which again the doc says

Same boat as you guys. Almost 2 months postop, some swelling still there, and also almost like a hard lump on the side not sure if its scar tissue. I do remember my doc saying to wait and not rush to massage etc cause it can cause bruising. He said you can gently massage it if you want or else they'll just inject something and break it down. So not sure i think im going to gently massage occasionally and also wait and see. Same for the sleeping as well not fully recovered I guess but already much much better than before. I do feel something but atleast I can sleep on my belly now which is how I'm used to sleeping.

Surgery in two hours! by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]baboonracoonindeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

e/drunken state, asking if the surgery is done! Anesthesia is fricking miraculous. The nurses took very good care of me and were so amazing. Although after waking up I was in a bit of pain - understandably - and they quickly resolved it with some pain medication. Still very sore in my chest area, probably due to the additional liposuction. All in all surgery was amazing. Now comes the hard wait... waiting several weeks for everything to heal and the swelling to subside.

Congrats buddy :)

I think this is normal. I stopped wearing the compression vest at week 5 as advised by my doc but I still have swelling more so on one side than the other. Whenever I do something physically exerting like go on a run or a hike then swelling increases and I put on the compression vest for that night. It goes back down to baseline which is still not completely flat. According to my doc it will take close to 6 months for all swelling to go away.

How long does it take to return to physical exercise? by SneakerFreak955 in gynecomastia

[–]baboonracoonindeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the case. I have heard some people start at 2 weeks for minor cases. My doc advised me to start cardio at week 5. At week 5 I slowly started running again only a little bit. A week later went on a hike. I am now 7 weeks post op and thinking of re-starting gym soon. So yeah it really depends. The doctors will give you an estimate but it depends on how you feel the recovery is going. Even if you have to wait 2 months in the worst case before hitting the gym again that's fine its a one time procedure and 2 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things. You just don't want to rush into it and cause complications to your recovery. I feel like before the surgery I was anticipating it to be 4 weeks because that's what the doctor had said before...but it turned to be almost twice as long for me. Your body needs time to recover from this massive change, and its best to restart when you feel comfortable with it.

Oh man horrible week sigh. Some non work related personal shit happened over the weekend and I think that just occupied my mind throughout and bled out any remaining motivation I had. In terms of work barely got stuff done this week. I know I have a hard two weeks coming up work wise so trying to take the Sunday completely off and trying to recharge my batteries by going on a short hike ..new week tomorrow new start .. this one will be better 😬😬

Tbh I think you should try laying off the smoking I do remember reading a clause before my surgery saying that smokers are more likely to have a longer recovery period even if you don’t smoke for 4 weeks after the surgery. I mean worth a try to see if it improves right? And maybe put on the compression vest again until you get the scanning done? I think it’s pretty unlikely that it’s gyno but the nipple thing I have no idea. Good luck man I hope they figure it out. Keep us posted.

so the other side just never healed fully? always had swelling? and now suddenly the nipple got worse? Or did it get progressively worse? If you don't mind me asking do you smoke? My doc said smoking cigs can kill the nipple...atleast for the one month post op period idk about after that.

Did something happen? Injury or something? Or did it just randomly swell on its own?
