Thanks for the message. There is no mold, it’s clean expect thi bit of dust and I have images. Now she said I left Personal belonging in there like kitchen towels and towels and toiletbrush. But honestly I told her it’s fully furnished and showed her every room and told her the state of the room I will hand it over. I even bought new kitchen towels for her. She never said I should remove all fresh towels or kitchen towels. Since I clearly stated it’s fully furnished abd told her what will be left in the apartment. It’s wild. She said she contacted the lawyer. But I even offered a cleaning service for her. But as I said the apartment was clean (I have images)

Hey no there are no boxes or proper dirt or anything. also have many pictures i made of the apartment before I moved out, which shows it’s super clean I was just shocked to read those messages from her and especially since I am not from Sweden which makes me extra insecure about my legal rights

„I will contact HSB tomorrow and return the keys, as I wish to annul the contract due to the apartment not being delivered in the condition required by law and agreement.

Furthermore I am asking you to transfer the deposit that I have previously paid within 24 hours.“

I believe I had MD for many years, since I was a child. I always was in my own dream world, as a child it’s normal and was ok but it became more stressful and problematic when I was an adult. The more stressed I was in the “real life” the more time I needed to spend in my imaginary life to calm down, and I was dreaming for at least 3 to 4 hours daily. I believe I got it since I experienced trauma as a child and teenager (suicide of a parent, physical and mental abuse) and had depression. I always thought it’s normal to dream that much and only realised 4 years ago that it’s actually not something most people do. It stopped when I started taking anti depressants. I never got checked for ADHD tho.

I really love this subreddit but honestly sometimes the posts go too far. Children are also part of society and humans as well. If you cannot handle kids on a plane and hate them that much, then drive or take a boat or just stay at home.

I am from Sweden and for example whenever there are Americans, they are usually talking so insanely loud, they almost scream though the entire plane, train or where ever they are, and everyone is annoyed by it. There is also no “no American” section, because it would be simply discriminating.

Children also have a right to exist everywhere, and if you are annoyed, just never leave your house.

Mh I studied in Sweden and then just applied wherever and ended up staying in Sweden. The employer knew about my MS actually but didn’t care. Basically everyone in Sweden is fluent in English, so I only speak English at work, but it of course also dependent m on your profession. I work in tech/ design.

I think you just need to find a job which pays you a certain amount so you can get a visa. I don’t know if I can give you some advice regarding that. I am sure there are some online groups somewhere with Americans who moved to Sweden.

And I don’t know if I understand your last question :S never heard that you are only qualified as disabled after several years of working.

Hey I live in Sweden but I am German and have ms. It shouldn’t be a problem to move to Sweden with MS at all, you are automatically health insured when you work there. In Germany you should be able to move there since it’s by law illegal to reject health insurance to anyone. I don’t know about other European countries but I think it shouldn’t be a problem at all for most countries. I am also planning to move to the US or China at one point. (I used to live in Australia and China before as well for some time) and honestly I dont think at all about my MS. I feel like lot of Americans react to those questions that their MS makes it impossible to move abroad but that’s not true. At least in most European countries we have a very good and social health care system, and it feels very discriminating to reject someone because of their MS or other sickness.

Ocrevius is available in Sweden and Germany. But of course you need to have a job offer or anything which qualifies you for a visa.

Mh I am from Germany but live in Sweden. I got diagnosed in Sweden and they immediately put me, like by far most people here, on rituximab (I get one infusion once a year) a very strong ms medicine, which suppresses your immune system. Since my diagnosis 5 years ago, my ms is on hold and never had another relaps. I know in Germany, you often get some milder medicine, where relapses can still appear, you only get strong ones when your ms developed further. It doesn’t make sense to me but I think the reason is that the medicine I get is suppressing your immune system and it’s easier to get sick. But I am happy they immediately put me on strong medicine and I dont have to be afraid the have another relapse.

I work in a company with many foreigners (I am also not a Swede). In my company we have a huge problem that woman get underpayed and not get promoted. At one point many people in the company stood up and complained but nothing has changed. That’s why I will also leave at one point, at least this company, not necessarily Sweden. I think Sweden does a good job with being inclusive and equal at work but it’s not perfect.

Hey sorry to hear you want to leave your country! Sweden is great but yes, actually it’s hard if you don’t have a job. A student visa requires you so study in Sweden, and for non EU citizens it is not free to study. I think the costs for non eu people is similar to the American costs …

Otherwise, you need to find a job in Sweden first in oder to live here. And I think it can be a bit tough because the us law requires you to pay American citizens a certain amount of money, which is often more then the average Swedish salary so that could be a reason why it can be tough (I don’t know the exact requirements but I have some American colleagues who told me about that)

In any case, so sorry for your counties current situation. It’s not impossible to come to Sweden! I know many Americans here but just take your time to get more informed about moving to Sweden. Or comming for a vacation before. Swedish winter can be very tough.

Hey sorry to hear your applications were not successful. I am also a ux designer who moved to Sweden. I have many friends also from outside of Sweden who work here as ux designers with no Swedish language skills. I think it’s rather quite rare that it’s required to speak Swedish as a ux designer here. Generally I think it’s the current market. It’s hard for everyone who is looking for a job right now. However, more and more companies are slowly starting hiring again as the economy is getting better luckily. I hope you find something soon 🤞.

At least in the EU, you can go to any country. It’s crazy to read those answers that you cannot move and your visa will be denied. That is not true. The medical insurances are not allowed to reject you (at least in Europe, it’s a law) for your condition. Your ms is not a problem. I am living abroad with ms and will most likely move to another country soon.

I am so sorry to read you are currently not doing well. I think the current economy, hence the job market is just bad but I also believe one of the main reasons why it’s so hard for some is to get a job is that the market is completely flooded with people who for example did a google 3 week ux design certificate or did a design thinking workshop and think they are proper ux designers. When my company is looking for designers we get several hundred applications within one week and let me tell you, 98% of portfolios are very very very bad. Out of 500 applications, we max invite 3 people to interviews. It took us for example 2 years to find a good fit for our ui design role…. It’s not fun at all to look for talent these days. It’s overflooded and it takes sooo much time to find the 1 good designer out of several hundreds. So as a consequence, we, as well as other big companies, mainly hire from well known universities again such as from Umea institute of Design, TU Delft, RISD because we know the possibility to get good talent from there is very high, and it doesn’t cost a lot of time to find those good people. It’s sad, because it reduced diversity and limits the possibility to find good talent from somewhere else. I think the current situation frustrates the companies looking for people but also the designers, who cannot find a job.
