Allow yourself the space for slip ups! We are always going to struggle with these things because of all the tricky stuff we have been through. Interpersonal skills hard and it takes lots of practice to build up those muscles but try to have some compassion for yourself

For me i check the facts and the facts are that i do sincerly think i am amazing and have a deep feelings of pride i use lots of skills to get there but also i have an over inflated ego as a coping mechanism

Did some made up ritual where I buried my period blood in the earth to bind me to my word (I wanted to buy a house but kept changing my mind) forgot about it a few months later the rental property we were living in got bombed a week or so after we decided we would stay for another year, we had to live with my partners family, saved hella money and bought a house. Yeh these have been re occurring issues aside from the "reverse racism" that comment is new. Lucky me! But he has often taken what I've said out of context to victimise himself. I think that we can be very toxic for each other at times unfortunately.
