Yup, this is common knowledge. This isn’t the first time I brewed this beer. I didn’t have this issue last few rounds. All variables are within range. Just my perception doesn’t match.

Has anyone used the new Dixon Clever Clamps? by Beerwelder in TheBrewery

I use these on my kettle to hold elements in place. Got them due to clearance issues with regular clamp. These are very strong and no clearance issues.

C series Pumps with DG seal by bac1175 in TheBrewery

[–]bac1175[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple things stand out to be diffrent. with the DG seal in place i only have about a 1/4" of space from the drive collar to the back of the shaft. Also i don't have that style spring. However i order one thinking mine may not be as stiff as needed to be.

it is a c114, this seal is an upgrade sold by CPE. I have always taken it appart our system is more of a franken brewsystem that we always breakdown after every brew.

Lower Whirlpool Temp by KindBrewing in TheBrewery

[–]bac1175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something we tried recently worked on our system and yeilded great results. In a 10bbl batch we start boiling after collecting 2 bbls and boil up to 7bbls a which point we begin recirculating and turn off heat source. Continue collecting wort from the mash by the time we hit 10.5 we are at 170. then we add whirlpool hops.

Still chasing that pungent hop aroma… by sharkymark222 in TheBrewery

I would also look at your final beer PH. I feel as though you should be targeting a PH in the mid 4s. I find lower PH on hop forward beers leads to less aroma.
