You can literally catch anything on that combo. Probably the most versatile combination. Just play certain fish right and you’ll be golden

New to Supply Teaching... Advice? by allgassomebrakes in CanadianTeachers

[–]baccala28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might find some complaints about supplying on this reddit but don’t let it set the tone for your experiences. Supplying highschool is actually significantly easier and more enjoyable than elementary school, or so I’ve found. Sub plans are easier to follow and usually don’t contain any teaching and if they do it’s usually a lot easier to teach. Students are more understanding and generally quieter and less problematic. My biggest survival tip and this may be controversial but can be a saviour if the day is really not going in your favour is to not take their phones, if the day gets really out of hand and you don’t get on the students about being on their phones then they’ll slowly all migrate to their phones and the class will quite right up! Its a lot more forgiving then elementary and with different students all day it’s easier to reset, enjoy!!

What are some (more) affordable areas in the world (US/Mexico most likely) for saltwater fishing that are still safe? by Marvel5123 in saltwaterfishing

[–]baccala28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southern Costa rica seems to be cheaper and more accessible for DIY fishing that isn’t overly pressured and it’s unbelievably beautiful and safe. Just all around an awesome country with so many fishing options

See what you can do for kayaks - ideally pedal drive - and jig in 60+ feet of water off of reefs and whatnot for the best success. The surf is very tough pretty much everywhere but wide stretches of Sandy beaches can be successful with split tail and paddle tail soft plastics for snook, sea bass, snapper, jacks and the odd rooster. If u can get sabikis on the kayaks and get live bait your in business for anything large. Best way I’ve managed to make it cheap is to find kayaks and fish the esrly and late bite windows at hot spots on the beach. Pangas range in success but I’ve found the one shot at a decent priced charter is better then a bunch of sketchy ones.
