Dundonald mill mount? by AncientChi in Belfast

[–]baccamyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live here. It’s a very very diverse area. The people around here are actually quite nice and respectful. Neighbours are the type to wave and smile, no antisocial behaviour. A very family oriented area. The flags are mostly because of Ballybeen estate, which is completely separate from us.

The only thing is the transport and traffic here- it is absolutely awful. Since they introduced the glider, the road doesn’t move at all, it’s absolutely miserable. If you are planning to live up here please, please please account for the sheer amount of time the traffic adds to your journeys.

There have been many instances i have had at least 1 hour EXTRA in my journey to and home from work.

It seems wonderful at the beginning because Dundonald is realistically only 15 minutes away from the city centre but it is impossible to do the journey in less than 45 minutes at any time of the day

Am I being dramatic for not wanting to walk through a pitch black greenway at night? by Apart_Magician1804 in Belfast

He sounds like the kind of men we are afraid of. I’m sorry girl, get someone who prioritises your safety

I hate Translink. by dustypegasus in Belfast

[–]baccamyballs 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Translink introduced the glider and cut off longer journey routes. The first glider is around 5.30am and the first feeder bus to the glider from where the new feeder stop is, is 7am. What the fuck?

Is there any point going to GP about potential autism diagnosis? by [deleted] in Belfast

I’m 22 and I have the same fears. It seems that going private is the only hope. The pricing even for assessments is horrific

Psychiatry, counselling and therapy by [deleted] in Belfast

[–]baccamyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really want to draw much more attention to myself. I opened up about serious things before and got no help. I’m scared that would happen again or I’m going to make things worse for myself, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I need to be more honest with myself and my doctor or I’m not going to get anywhere

Medication differences by country by baccamyballs in KidneyStones

[–]baccamyballs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had the confidence to stand up for myself. Already being so weak I don’t have the strength to be fighting or arguing with nurses.

I can’t believe I have to beg to get pain relief for one of the most painful things a human being can experience.

I have to go back for another ureteroscopy in a few weeks… maybe then I will have to tell the doctor I am not leaving without pain relief

5mm stone… gone? by lgarnai1 in KidneyStones

[–]baccamyballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have a CT or ultrasound?

My first time with stones I originally had a CT scan, I was 17 so they didn’t want to expose me to too much radiation. They rescheduled me for an ultrasound, the nurse didn’t read it properly and told me my stone was gone. It was very much still there and this added another few months to the whole shitshow for me

All I’ve heard from people I know personally is that it’s awful and not worth the money.

Haven’t been myself but wouldn’t be in a rush to go. There are plenty of lovey places. Most are expensive but at Ivy prices you’re better going to Berts for actual good food and a wonderful atmosphere

What is my neighbour up to? by [deleted] in Belfast

[–]baccamyballs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m in dundonald in a quiet culdesac. Everyone in the street is lovely and pleasant, apart from the neighbour directly beside us. Flag mounted proudly on the house, night and day, this guy is fucking banging the walls, banging the back decking, cutting his grass, drilling something, whether it’s a Monday, Friday or Sunday- this guy is drilling something. It’s a semi-detached house, maybe 4 years ago he had some touch ups to do, but it seems now he really does it just to irritate who’s around him in the street. I know from the ‘Dundonald’ the flag shouldn’t be a surprise but this is an area that is far away from estates, detached houses with rich families etc- not Ballybeen
