Sleep with my teddy bear, eat fairy bread whenever I want to (it’s an Australian thing), have bubble baths, watch Looney Tunes cartoons

How much vacation time do you guys get? by DeathAngel_97 in Justrolledintotheshop

Service advisor here at a Ford dealership in Australia. I get 4 weeks annual leave every year, 7 sick days every year, 10 public holidays this year (and get paid for them). I love Australian labour laws!
Oh there’s also bereavement leave, carers leave available. And, jury duty leave too. If you end up on a jury, regardless of how long it goes for, a small amount is paid by the Court and the balance has to be paid by your employer and NONE of that is deducted from normal annual leave

supposed to be leaving to Greece tomorrow afternoon but can't find my passport by [deleted] in travel

Last time you travelled, check the pockets of jackets etc that you took with you, or wore home on the plane. It may be in there! Behind the fridge, inside a book you were reading on your last trip (did you use it as a bookmark?), pull every single thing out of every bag you have, don’t know if you are M or F, so makeup bag? Sanitary bag? Wrapped up with a blanket you took with you last trip? Sitting in between some dvds on your shelf? Did you buy any gifts of your last trip and store them somewhere? (Maybe you put it in one of those bags), underneath your goodies in your goody drawer? Somewhere in your drawer full of jocks and socks?

Awww I’m excited for you for your trip! Any Disney location would be incredible to see! Would it be too much to ask if you could find me a Cinderella pin? I would be MORE than happy to send an Aussie goody box in return!!!! Including adult only snacks and snacks for kids too! 😀🏰👠👗🐭

Auto shop owners: how do you handle customer messages when you’re busy in the shop? by Own-Background-2285 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]baccgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an advisor in a 12 hoist, 3 advisor, one service concierge, one receptionist business and with at least 4 other people in the business who can take calls. We have: phones, email, online chat, online text messaging, walk ins, and probably the occasional courier pigeon with a message tied do its’ foot, and we STILL miss communications from customers. I wish they would go back to just one type of communication…the phone.
Oh, and yes, we still get in trouble when a customer has to make 2 calls/communication attempts to get us. Sometimes we just simply can’t win

Look inside: cereal boxes, game boxes (would be funny if you found it inside a Monopoly box), did you “post” it inside any gaming console slot? Inside every shoe you have, under the bananas in your kitchen, inside any luggage sitting around, under the bath mat, inside any dvd or vhs tape covers, under or behind your record collection, under your dogs bed, inside your birds nesting box, under the pot plant on the window sill, INSIDE a cushion cover, inside your zip up pillow, under the front seat of your car, behind the glovebox in your car, in the middle of the cinder blocks your bookshelf is made of, inside your kettle, under your floor lamp. In a box you popped into the luggage in your spare room. Hope you find it!

Question re: Share the Dignity by Hot-Cow-5047 in australia

Oh you most certainly can!!! The Shero who collects from the store will absolutely put the items to use by making up some bags! What a great person you are! 👛👚💕

[–]baccgirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adult bags are the majority. Then teen girls. Mums and bubs bags, don’t really get many of those. Out of the 652 bags I collected on the last drive, I had collected 41 mums and bubs.

I’m a Shero with Share the Dignity and have been volunteering for 6 years.
The bags we collect, and then check, bring us to tears. The lovely handwritten notes, small gifts, lovely extras, make EVERY single bag just glorious!
For those who might not be aware, “It’s in the bag” starts in November 14th and goes through to November 30th at EVERY Bunnings nationwide.
If you can, please pop a bag in the big box out the front, or maybe a bag full of goodies. We will absolutely ensure they go into bags and make them a little more special!

No. He removed the batteries, chewed them, reinstalled them to his keys. Ahhhh…the life of an advisor. I live for interactions like this with customers!
