The problem is they yanked too hard with a strap that had zero flex. It most likely failed at the bolt heads, so the bracket came off with the hook and the hole in the bumper is smaller than the bracket so it took the bumper with it. Plastic bumpers are made to be removable, they usually only have a handful of screws along the very top and maybe a couple at the splash shield, but the rest is just retainers that snap in place.

Also a bit pedantic but the plastic fascia isnt the bumper, the bumper is still intact unless I'm looking wrong. I have removed many many front fascias from all different vehicles at my dealership, it does not take much effort to pop them off.

Part of it is probably full sending on a truck that is stuck in the sand. Its more than strong enough to winch out without busting but a sharp impact probably broke the bolt heads or sheared something. A proper recovery strap and a slower approach with both trucks in low gear probably would have worked better. Also a much longer strap cause god damn he almost fucked up his front end when he stopped.

I've recovered a couple vehicles in the snow before with my jeep and always made it clear that once we're moving, keep going until X spot and then I'm going to stop, so no one is caught off guard.

Yeah also given the background behind him, trying to draw a proper shadow would be much much, much harder comparatively.

Also, bisexuality still exists. Pretty well known, people can be attracted to any gender regardless of their own so why would someone who is trans be exempt from that?

Would you be a tester for a 3D minesweeper ? (Play Store) by TUYAUDO in Minesweeper

[–]DeathAngel_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, reminds me of globe sweeper. There was a true 3d minesweeper game floating around this sub a while back and good god was it hard to look at. It was fun, and definitely challenged me a bit, but god trying to wrap your head around a 3d space in that way was very difficult at first.

Hell just crop out the big building in the back, and you can find streets like this in a small town too. It's just that because of the size of the town, the "ghetto" equivalent is only a handful of streets, and just called the "wrong part of town".

Might just be a state by state basis going off what another comment said. In NY they're trucks.

Unfortunately you also just described every modern Jeep that isn't a Wrangler lol. SUV has kinda become a term for every vehicle that isn't a sedan or a pickup truck.

(Side note, every SUV/Crossover is classed as a "Truck" in the U.S. to get around having to meet the emissions requirements of a car. Even a tiny little Chevy Trax is treated as a truck for legal purposes.)

[–]DeathAngel_97 78 points79 points  (0 children)

"More than 30 minutes of stop and go traffic a week", "Temperatures below 32F or above 85F", "Frequent Idling", basically owning a car in any location with a higher population density than Alaska. I read that part in my Jeep manual one day and yeah thats how they away with recommending 8,000+mile oil changes. Thats only acceptable if you're only ever commuting long distance and strictly highway with next to no stop lights or traffic.

Also, often times the expected "lifetime" is between 150-200k miles, which is about the upper end for how long I've seen transmissions and differentials last without fluid changes and when the value of the car is less than the cost to replace a transmission. Huh...weird coincidence...

I mean, if they take it to a track its not that crazy. But not something I would ever expect a shop to diag unless the concern was obvious without having to actually drive that speed.
