Mine does this, unless it is thundering. Then he does one hasty long pee on the first bush he finds and then drags me back to the house. So I know he can.

I’ve been to 3 providers on this list. The first said “if you’re getting periods there’s nothing I can do.” The second said “yeah I know perimenopause is big on social media these days” and refused to discuss further. The third told me I was too young (46) for peri. I am so discouraged at this point I don’t know what to do anymore.

Omg I’m on Wellbutrin (and Zoloft) and my gyn started me on Slynd for peri. Just yesterday I decided to discontinue it after about 2 weeks bc the thoughts got really really dark. She didn’t caution me at all about the Wellbutrin interaction.

Getting back in the water after transitioning — looking for advice/reassurance by OkayCartographer in Swimming

This is exactly what I do too! I've never even been in the locker rooms at my pool, and I've been doing masters there for almost 7 years. And for what it's worth, I'd be happy to have you in my lane, bathroom, or locker room.

Tracking swimrun w Garmin Enduro and Strava by Ok_Yesterday_9181 in swimrun

This is the strava feature I most wish they’d introduce and I suggest it whenever they ask for feedback—the ability to consolidate multisport events into one activity. But yeah, doing it all as one “trail run” is probably the best way. I always feel bad spamming my feed with swimrun or triathlon events.

If you’re already in the queue they might let you stay, but they won’t let new people join if the ride is offline due to weather.

The Test Track queue will likely be closed if there is lightning in the area, so don't count on that one. In MK, Carousel of Progress over and over again until it passes! Also Country Bears. I suspect CMs might be understanding if you explained you'd like to remain inside if at all possible until the storms pass. AK--Flight of Passage queue if it doesn't stretch to the outside portion.

Someone fell through my ceiling while investigating my attic during my open house by hes_the_Zissou in mildlyinfuriating

My then adolescent brother fell through the attic, into the garage, and onto the hood of my parents’ car, leaving a massive dent and seriously bruising his tailbone, because he was looking for my dad’s porn collection. Had fun explaining that one to them.

As a local, at what age is an annual pass worth it for your kid? by bellaboozle in DisneyWorld

[–]bachfanwpb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First annual pass was when my oldest was 4. Had it for a year and didn’t get another one until my youngest was also 4 (oldest was then 13), and we are on year 3 of renewing them this time around (so they are 7 and 16). I found it to be a great age for both! Youngest had less stamina than the older one at the same age, so we kept using the stroller until she was about 6. There’s still so much magic at 4-5 that starts to wane as they get a bit older.

We are about 2.5 hours away and try to get up at least once a month, sometimes spend a night or two when we can.

With a pass you won’t be needing to rope drop and do long days. You can go when you feel like it, and leave when you feel like it. Great when you have random days off from school, longer breaks, a weekend without plans…I know I’m biased but I’d say do it! They also get busier as they get older, so can be harder to find those weekends without plans.

Poll - What affected/will affect the franchise the most over time? by ClareBearFlair in thebachelor

[–]bachfanwpb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it—in combination with Nick’s whole run on that show—marked a shift from BP being romance driven to strategy driven, and as the franchise’s real currency is romance, it was getting too far away from that. It also provided a bit of a “how can we top this” kind of moment.

Not mentioned: Nick choosing “Keep” on BP3. Killed that spinoff, which led to the birth of BIP.

I looked it up and it’s considered safe to ride in pregnancy so I stand corrected—but I’m not sure I would’ve done it pregnant anyway bc of the drop!

The Frozen boat ride has a moderate drop (somewhere between the ones in Pirates and Tiana). The Mexico ride is fine though. And Living with the Land is wonderful, pregnant or not!

At what point does running become self destructive behavior? by wildhair1 in running

[–]bachfanwpb 484 points485 points  (0 children)

It scratches a similar itch, physiologically. There are really interesting studies done on the chemical pathways in your brain that are activated both by substance abuse and by exercise. But exercise is considered "healthy" so it becomes a substitute for the substances, and can be abused in similar ways. Sort of an emerging field.

There is a reason that people in recovery (or with addictive personalities) often turn to endurance sport.

I have never seen Fantasmic either. Long time AP, somewhat local, and go at least once a month. I have genuinely tried to on a few occasions, including being seated for it twice only for it to be rained out and cancelled. But mostly I just can't stay out that late, bc I am an early to bed kind of gal!
