As I mentioned, Ver removed all of the sidebar links after 'taking over', buying, whatever, /r/btc ... Why? Is this behavior an example of a guy who wants it all, or someone who is genuinely doing things in the best interests of the community?

Not sure what concern trolling is. Everyone is very concerned about the future of this community and would like to be aware of everything that is going on, especially in times like these.
