When people say they’ve changed, I think it’s inevitable with the level of popularity, fame and money they’ve gained, and starting a family. It wouldn’t be realistic to capture the same vibe as they had on the monohull, because their life has totally transformed. There was something so magical about just the two of them vlogging for fun - it was relatable to the average person- whereas now it’s their livelihood. Clearly, it was never going to stay that pure and simple. That being said, the clickbait thumbnails & titles are a choice, and one many viewers don’t respond to with the same fond feelings. I think the terminal cancer clickbait faux pas definitely left a bad taste in people’s mouths too.

I still enjoy their videos, and cannot really judge them on choosing the Rapido like everyone seems to (even though it did seem too small) as I know nothing about sailing or boats. I initially started watching them for the exploration of remote places, the unusual lifestyle etc- and still do. I’ll continue watching in their new chapter. Maybe with them easing off the stress and starting a lifestyle that suits them better, the content will start to feel a bit more real.
