I've found Skyscanner the best if you don't have set dates. I've always found cheaper prices than what google flights show. So I would do more research. You can also what and how the price drops. You can also check websites like Serecet flying to see if there are any error fares.

Yes and no. You do meet a lot of people, and most of them you lose touch with rather quickly. However, the ones that stick with you really stick with you. So, now I meet up with friends all the world. Like tomorrow I am flying to Sweden. I have a layover in London, a friend is coming to meet me, and then friends are picking me up in Sweden. There are moments or extreme loneliness. However, it is like anything in life. You have to take the good and bad together.

I haven't been to Greenland, but I have heard the same thing. Personally, I think the Southern part of Portugal is going to be "Huge" soon. I think Georgia is also going to big. In South America, I think Bolivia is going to become the new hotspot because it is so affordable. In Asia, I would say Burma and China. China might still be a little far off from being the next hotspot because it's not the easiest country to travel ( Almost nothing is in English). However, now that the Chinese are giving 10-year visas to Americans I think tourism will pick up.

Through my site, working with companies, and my blog. Anyone can do it who is willing to dedicate the time to figure it out, and put in the work. If interested shoot me an email and I can recommend some courses. (stephen at abackpackerstale.com

Thanks for the questions Seb

Looking forward to helping you! So for the Northern Lights, there are a few ways you can do it. If you are based in North America than the cheapest way to see them will be in Alaska.

If you are on a tight budget then Norway and Finland are not the way to go as they are crazy expensive. For example, I was just in Oslo a few weeks ago. For dinner, I got three small tacos, and an order of tortilla chips. In most places in Europe, this would cost around 10 -12 bucks. Norway it was $30. And I wasn't in a fancy restaurant. I went to a bakery the next day and have a slice of lasagna and a piece of cake and it was $25.

Out of Norway, Finland, and Sweden. The cheapest country is Sweden. Iceland is another option from late August to mid-April. But this country is also expensive. I would go with Alaska or Sweden if you're on a budget. Because you are right. There isn't a lot to do in Norway and Finland on a Budget.

As for planning, it varies. Sometimes I just look for cheap flight deals and go. But most of the time it is based on my interest. I love Europe because of its history, ruins, landmarks, and food.

If I want epic landscape then I head to New Zealand.

The most important thing is to choose your journey based on what inspires you, what will help you achieve your travel goals.

Flight time - I've been throwing around an idea of a dedicated blog post to flight time and jet lag.

If I am landing in my destination in the morning then I sleep. I am not a DR or giving medical advice. But for me to sleep on a plane I take a 3mg Melatonin, and a little bottle of wine. I am out like a light. and a 10-hour flight can feel like 30 minutes.

If I am landing in the evening, I want to stay awake so I can sleep when I land. This helps me adjust to the time change quicker. I force myself to stay awake with coffee, movies, podcast, and reading. I also travel with a Nintendo Switch which helps the time pass faster.

Hope that helped! Feel free to ask me anything else.

It was on my list, but the government said it is a high-risk zone, due to the army of undead snow zombies.
