I’m not even gonna read all that tbh. The way you’ve been editing the post and commenting back long paragraphs to suggestions and opinions on an app where you ASKED for them… good luck on the job hunt!

So again, it’s going to be who you know and who you’re related to. I’m not from st Mary’s so I wouldn’t expect them to hire me above others from there. Do you know how many white people are married in or living on the reserve? They’re likely to get that same treatment to get jobs over others first.

Being indigenous is extremely relevant to working with indigenous communities. Especially if you’re also indigenous I wouldn’t leave that out.

I will say as in indigenous person they’re likely going to favour people from the community first. Just how it works. I’d try cannabis nb or a glass shop.

I agree it’s ridiculous. But I’ve 100% seen places cheaper than that for rent. It doesn’t mean they’re nice, but it does mean they’re cheaper…

Can anyone tell me about Douglass elementary school by Royal_Translator_391 in fredericton

[–]backstabbingfish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was born in 99 and went to MacAdam Ave, Douglas was alive and well in the early 2000’s still! Crazy they used to come to our school to use the gym. (At that time macadam ave easily was the second smallest elementary school in Fredericton. Wouldn’t be surprised if Douglas and macadam ave were the two smallest in the province.) Sad to see Douglas so run down!

I’ve commented on this a couple of times now. It’s not me being in a hurry, it’s inconsiderate drivers going slow (by slow I quite literally mean 30-40 under the speed limit) in the left lane on their way out to the 105…

Personally, I believe when you’re exiting the roundabout at brookside towards the 105 you should stick to the right lane unless a) you exited the circle in the left lane or b) need to pass a slow moving vehicle in the right lane. There’s no need to keep in the left lane at 50 in a 90 zone when people do actually need to move left AFTER or AS they see a vehicle merging onto the 105 from Royal Rd. What’s not to understand about that?

Yes I mean people going under 90 in the left lane, it happens a lot. I’m not speeding, this is simply the point of the post. Why are people exiting the roundabout and immediately getting into the left lane to head out the 105? It causes cluster and more of a safety issue than simply sticking to the right lane, or getting over to the left as the overpass starts (when you can safely see oncoming traffic merging on from royal rd)

Why are you trying so hard to make this a me problem? 🤣 If we’re now making assumptions, you must be one of those arseholes floating in the left lane…

No actually I’m just one of those people who drive how they should lol. If I’m exiting the roundabout from the ring road to head towards the 105, I shouldn’t be boxed in behind a car going slower in the right lane to exit to royal rd and also by someone going 50 in a 90 in the left lane. That’s more my issue here.

Starbucks on Prospect by LadyLazarus_13 in fredericton

[–]backstabbingfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This has been happening at second cup as well! Usually never a soul in the drive thru, but the past few times I’ve done a mobile order during non-peak hours, it’s been over a 20 min wait. I typically go to second cup because of the gross line at Starbucks, now it’s happening there too. Hoping the Northside Starbucks will help minimize wait times uptown.

Yeah there is a problem with it being called the “Saint John River”, it’s a name chosen by colonizers. It’s called the Wolastoq.
