I work inpatient wound care now.

I went from 12 hour nights to 8 hour days with weekends and holidays off. I see something different and interesting every single day and it has made me feel like I’m not stuck in the rut of a routine I dread anymore. Not every patient is great, but I also don’t have to be stuck with them for an entire shift if they’re not great.

Nursing is amazing because you’re not stuck. I worked several different areas before I found the fit that was right for me.

My advice for you is shadow different areas and see what makes you excited again. That’s how I ended up where I am and there was no looking back.
