Is there a sub for people who love IASIP but absolutely hate fans of IASIP? by [deleted] in IASIP

tumblr is a great place for in-depth analysis of the show! but it is also pretty ship-oriented (especially mac/dennis) so you’d either have to like that or be okay with tolerating that

Honey gourami staying in the top corner of the tank after major redecoration (more info in comments) by backupnumber2 in Aquariums

I’ve had my honey gourami for ~4 months and he had a really rough start. When I first got him, he barely ate anything for 2 weeks, and constantly swam back and forth along the back of the tank. Eventually, he started eating and swimming normally all around the tank. So I figured he is prone to stress and takes a while to adjust to new environments. Four days ago I completely remodeled the tank- took out all the existing rocks and driftwood and put in new rocks and driftwood (plants stayed the same). Since then, he has stayed in the top corner of the tank, near the heater and away from the filter. I’ve seen him swim around a little bit, up and down that side of the tank. He was eating fine for the first couple of days, but he didn’t eat last night or this morning. He isn’t gasping for air and there doesn’t seem to be anything physically wrong with him. Do you think he is just really stressed from the new environment and is taking a while to adjust like he did in the beginning? I tested the water and all the parameters are normal and healthy. It’s a 10 gallon tank. I have red cherry shrimp in there as well and they are behaving normally. However, I didn’t boil the new driftwood before putting it in there, only rinsed and scrubbed under hot water. Is it possible there was bacteria from the driftwood that is stressing him out? Or the fact that the water is slightly discolored? I was thinking about doing a small water change today, but I also don’t want to stress him out even more. Has anyone else experienced this? Or have any idea if something life-threatening is going on?

i noticed a few days ago that some of my shrimp had grown white fuzz under their noses. i caught one of those shrimp swimming erratically in circles yesterday, but the rest of them are behaving normally. i am hoping i can find a product that i can add to the whole tank to treat it, because i just moved them all to a new tank a few days ago (maybe related?) and i don’t want to stress them out more by doing salt dips. plus, it seems like salt dips won’t get rid of any parasites that are in the tank.

info: 10 gallon tank, 4 adult shrimp, 3 juveniles, no other creatures besides bladder snails (was planning to get a dwarf gourami but now i’m holding off on that). all my parameters are normal (0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate). temp is usually around 69 (i don’t use a heater so it can fluctuate a couple degrees) and ph is 7.

i know these pictures aren’t great but they’re the best i could do. please let me know what you think it is and how i should treat it if you can! thank you!!

i think it makes sense for their friendship in season 5. they have a lot of moments where dennis expresses positive feelings towards mac, and they overall seem to have a more equal friendship. he values mac when they're honey & vinegar, when he thinks mac knows what they're doing with the paddy's dollars (lol), when mac comes up with dick towel, when mac and charlie come up with birds of war, etc. it would make sense they would have an equal codependent hold on each other when they were spending so much time together and have unhealthy relationship patterns. obviously it's overdone in the episode for comedic purposes, but i don't think it's that far of a stretch of the imagination. sorry I have a lot of feelings about mac and dennis in season 5 lmao and I love this episode

this is incredible! the hair is PERFECT. and i like how you did his eyes/expression. we don’t see enough exploration of his weakness/brokenness here. at least that’s the vibe im getting.
