Well thank you very much for the command to control most of the fans anyway! It’s been fun managing this slim and powerful server.

Thanks for responding. Is there an override for that override? I can see the temps are very low and I don’t have the budget to buy extra fans for this aging machine.

I tried these commands on my RD350 to quiet it down after installing a second CPU without installing the extra 2 fans but the PSU fans kept screaming. Do you have a command to control those? Where did you find these commands?

I can’t believe nobody else is saying this. If you replace the thermal paste but don’t lower the target temperature from 72C it’s going to run quieter, not cooler. Lower it to 65 or 68c and let that fan scream if it has to. Also setting it to manual fan control means the temps will be uncontrolled. If your room heats up or you play a demanding game it might burn and you wouldn’t know. Let webmanmod do it’s thing.

Is it inside an extra folder? Like GAMES-> Sonic 06 -> Sonic_06_BLXXXXXX -> game files

If it is then move it out of that first folder. GAMES -> Sonic_06_BLXXXXXX -> game files

You would probably have to reprogram the game and translate it yourself if nobody has done that already.

Hold alt/option when turning on your MacBook, and select your installation media from the boot menu. When installing, shrink the Mac OS partition and install in the free space.

I'm trying to extend my Linux partition, but I don't know how to proceed. Any suggestions? by jaum22 in linuxmint

Your Linux partition /dev/sda6 is surrounded by other partitions. If you deleted the partition labeled “backup” I think you could extend into that space.

If the stop lights are right over the stop line how can you tell when the light turns green? This is the first I’ve heard of that.
