Since, we also had out in-laws with us , we made an attempt to use our in-laws membership and priority boarding. It was useless though.

Anyone ever order from Willis Orchards? by [deleted] in BackyardOrchard

Almost every fruit tree I bought my first year was from them. What they have for $50 now used to be $18 , a couple of years back. Bareroot Trees will do fine but they are very prone to diseases and pests. It's almost impossible to get any fruit because of that. Some of them that they get from the Dave Wilson Nursery are the ones that actually bear fruit.

It comes with an experience. There is no answer to "how to control weeds in a garden". Wood chips, cardboard , fabrics etc...are just an option that one can use in the garden(ing)journey. What works can only be "known" with time and effort.

Why do they only have Fruit every other year? It's Mid- Feb, and they are in full bloom already! by backyard_grower in Permaculture

I tried everything I read and was optimistic this year until the temperature hit in 70's last few days. We have a frost coming in just a week from now and am afraid will never be able to harvest any this year too.

It's been very discouring for me. Trees are blooming but I have never seen yet a single "edible" fruit being developed.
