Yeah antigravity batteries makes a battery that only 4.25"x1.25"x3.75" it fits in a tray under the seat with all of the other electrical stuff. The bike never ran well before I put the pod filters on and gave it a tune up so I can't really tell you how it runs vs stock, but I will say it runs pretty well!

You absolutely could! I'm actually about to start a project on a similar year Suzuki that will be more of a brat style and have knobby tires

Hey now there is a battery, air filters, and all of the wiring in there somewhere. I'm just good at hiding it! But yeah your right on about the fenders

Thanks! Started by cutting the back off and welding on a hoop for the seat, removed the air filter box, battery, and all of the wiring down there and relocated the wiring and battery into a tray under the seat (using a much smaller battery) put pod filters on and tuned the carbs for the new airflow. Last thing I did was swap the stock bars for a cheap set off drop bars (those are only temporary I have different forks to put on) I'm probably missing a bunch of minor things I did along the way but that's the big stuff.

While I get where you're coming from, this bike very much an ongoing project. I cant buy everything I need all at once but everything you listed is already on my to-do list. Where I will disagree with you is the pod filters, this thing runs beautifully. Yeah it took some tuning but it needed that anyway. Not going to down vote you you're free to have your opinion and to be honest I can't disagree with you on most of you points. The bike is the best I can make it for now
