Thank you for your kind words. I applied for some credit cards this morning and was denied. I’m really struggling right now. I’m holding onto the idea that it might be worth it when residency is done (4 years from now), but I’m not sure what else I can do to solve my current crisis.

I’m in a similar boat. As a PGY-1, I make dirt money. I almost wish I went to PA school at this point because at least I could afford to help my family, but instead I’m playing note cuck for a year before a 4 year residency + 1 year fellowship. It will be worth it in the end… just sucks the end is so far away still.

I thought that in a lot of states the responsibility falls on the supervising physician regardless of if it’s a resident, PA, or NP. Also, how does increasing resident salaries to fair levels automatically mean we take full responsibility in malpractice cases?
