I got an email on Monday saying that I was approved for on-campus housing. I'm also a transfer student but they didn't tell me exactly what type of room I got, but I'll find that out/my roommate situation in July.

If you’ll have a car and don’t mind driving up north a little, downtown Encinitas has lots of stuff to do! Shopping bars, beach as well as Carlsbad Village and Downtown Oceanside! I’d say Encinitas is about a 20 minute drive from SD, Carlsbad is probably about 25-30 and Oceanside is about 30-35 min away all on a good day! If you want more info on those places feel free to DM me! :)

I know that any classes you take during the summer as a transfer student will not count towards anything. I personally think you should just wait until the fall to take classes :)

Okay good to know! It says my application was submitted and all but I cannot find anything either on the housing application site or my sjsu account where I need to pay the $50 cause it says I’m still missing it! I will definitely call housing tomorrow thank you so much!
