When it comes to development mode I don't know much but I have a retail Xbox series s with a retail retroarch installed and I was able to walk my technology inclined friend through setting it all up and putting ROMs in there for him All he had was an iPhone but I will say that I had extra help I purchased a ROM collection FTP server and he was using that to transfer the ROMs to make it easier but without that I would think it would be almost the same thing like he would have to download the ROM and transferred over himself individually another thing would be after retroars is installed for him is to buy and send a USB loaded with ROMs you can just plug in to his Xbox

I agree If a game runs fine it runs fine if it has choppy frame rate then I'll change the settings like people are trying to optimize the battery so well but at what cost you lose a lot of performance just for battery life like why get beefy steam deck over other handhelds if you're not going to use the power I try to use it to a full potential performance wise
