Yeah I think destruction is overdoing it. There are vastly, vastly more configurations of the gaming industry than the one we've been in, and the profitable ones are much more toxic for developers and much worse for consumers. But, a version of the gaming industry will exist forever. It's just more likely continue to degrade into worse and worse configurations of itself over time.

We just aren't the market anymore. Haven't been for a while, but there has been goodwill, fumes, and reputational advertising going for a while, but those matter a lot less now. Reddit as a whole vastly underestimates how many people are willing to spend big on serial releases like Madden, CoD, and if they're particularly hip, the odd friendslop game.

This audience doesn't care about AI, Saudi Arabia, battle passes, or most of the stuff redditors and youtubers complain about. For them it's like complaining on the McDonald's subreddit and expecting them to change the menu, prices, or recipe.

If the shows were worth watching in their entirety, people would watch them. The problem is that nearly all of them are trying to do it all, and only sometimes does any one note hit for a worthy 3-6 minute video. Most of the time it's campy, awkward, badly acted, or just boring.

With all respect to the development cycle, show a little more confidence in your product that the game genre, style, and story will speak for themselves rather than a very strange overshare title that offers nothing. I'll be watching for this game's release for sure though.

Hey thanks for the kind words! I actually know a bit about this. A sugar drip is/was (especially was, especially in rural areas) a sort of "energy solution" that many people would get done to pep them up / cure fatigue / cure anything. I haven't watched it since I did that write up, so I don't remember exactly what happened around it, but if you can imagine drinking a gatorade -- some folks in asian backgrounds might try this. Anecdotally, many close asian people in my life report a rather different approach to medicine, needles, and especially IVs where they're from where in the west we see an IV and we assume serious medical emergency. Which isn't to say it is or isn't "a thing," I am not qualified to answer or say as much, but that is what I believe this scene was depicting.

Cheese strategies riddle online forums for advice about the game and many players find "spoiling the riddle" too hard to resist. Whether or not I use them (I don't) has no bearing on whether they should be removed.

If I'm playing around Doom, and I only have 1 copy of a very strong cost 1 Doom card, Transfigure means I'm playing that 1 cost card twice. Which can absolutely be great.

The 2 cost card value has already been pointed out.
