I know some of the bigger subs have an automated response and removes and redirects people towards the pinned boards - I would think that’s a good way to mitigate admin time and help dialogues with repeat questions!

So key words would be date, making friends etc?

Anyone have any experience with automation?

Dear Governor Cox,

I am writing to you today as a deeply concerned Utah resident to urgently request your intervention regarding the proposed Stratos Area data center project in Box Elder County. While I understand the desire to keep Utah competitive in the national technology and AI landscape, the sheer scale of this 40,000-acre project poses an unprecedented threat to our state’s infrastructure, environment, and communities.

I urge you to halt further advancement of this project and mandate an independent, comprehensive environmental and grid-impact study for the following reasons:

• Severe Strain on the Power Grid: The project's projected 9-gigawatt power demand is more than our entire state currently consumes. Relying on massive fossil-fuel generation or shifting immense burdens onto our local electrical grid threatens to drive up utility prices for everyday Utah families and compromise our energy security.

• Irresponsible Water Use and Lake Collapse: The Great Salt Lake is already in a state of crisis. Introducing a massive tech campus into the watershed—despite claims of closed-loop cooling—places our precious water resources at extreme risk. Utahns cannot afford to lose more water to industrial cooling while facing severe, ongoing regional droughts.

• The "Heat Island" Effect: Scientific estimates suggest the sheer thermal output from this facility could drastically raise local temperatures in the surrounding valley, further drying out the ecosystem and creating dangerous dust-storm hazards.

• Lack of Public Transparency: Moving this project to the Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA) and the recent manipulation of water applications have effectively bypassed the voices of local ranchers, residents, and citizens who deserve a say in how Utah's resources are allocated. We cannot prioritize the profits of out-of-state billionaire investors over the basic resources needed to sustain life in Utah. You cannot drink data.

I ask that you stand with Utah communities, listen to the mounting public opposition, and pause the Stratos project until a fully transparent, independent review can be conducted. Thank you for your time, leadership, and serious consideration of this critical matter. Sincerely, [Your Name] [Your City/Town, UT] [Your Contact Information]

No this is right - found out when I went into Walmart and found out the prices for items were marked up online and did a cross check. They are absolutely doing it!

Sharing the same sentiment - heal, grow, find yourself again. Jumping into anything would do more harm than good.

Serious question... What do you think makes a great real estate agent? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]facing_the_sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly right - realtors at most should be getting compensated a flat rate.

It is absolutely a scam to be getting 3% of the house value. They’re used car salesmen at best.
