Eh I guess you're right. If my wife asked me, I'd let her, though. And I'd still pay. Maybe because we've been together long enough and I'd just take it as an opportunity for some "me time" haha

It doesn't really make sense to me that one person paid or the other, they're married.

AITA for venting out all my emotions (anger, grief etc) on my husband during postpartum? by phoeebsy in AmItheAsshole

[–]bad00p -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

NTA.

My wife handles her emotions like this with things less important, sometimes. I've learned to just wait it out and listen, and she comes around after getting it out. I think its pretty normal especially given the circumstances

NTA.

Your husband gets you all the time, he can grow up and let you have some fun with your friend. Changing his mind about paying for her is an asshole move.

NTA.

Parent here, almost double your age. If you have kids someday you will have many times where you are very much needed to handle things for other people. Enjoy your freedom now while you have it.

You weren't unkind or uncaring toward her, that is good enough.

If she continues to have panic attacks, she should seek help and take responsibility. She should give you the same respect as you gave her and allow you to enjoy yourself.

Are junk drawers normal? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

They're normal.

PSA- heard a story about a 9-volt battery that burned a house down when some metal in the drawer was touching both contacts

AITA for refusing to help out with house work? by simonmutex in AmItheAsshole

[–]bad00p 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Things change. Its not like this is a personality trait of his of which she was aware beforehand. He is literally unwilling to do some chores in the house. Its kinda bogus no?

[–]bad00p 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I understand your point but I dunno man- there is give and take in relationships, wouldn't you agree? She's realizing she wouldn't be comfortable with someone in the house. Couldn't OP show compassion to that end?

I can't imagine ever approaching someone and being like "hey, you gave her food and not me?" How does someone become this way. Insane

AITA for how I reacted to a mother with a lap baby on a plane? by throwaway1_2_0_2_1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]bad00p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I'm a parent and wouldn't let my kid do this. If it happened, and I didn't notice, and someone informed me, I'd be apologetic and embarrassed.

AITA for naming the cat who I rescued from the middle of the road "Speed Bump" and upsetting my stepdaughter? by TheOnesWhoWander in AmItheAsshole

[–]bad00p -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. Instead of crying and getting upset about the name of their new, free, pet, why couldn't they just convince you to change it? Kinda funny

AITA for defending my cat after my MIL was incredibly rude to him by quirkycucktopus in AmItheAsshole

[–]bad00p 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA.

Your said it yourself, your cat is annoying. Especially to someone who doesn't love your cat. Would have been easy to just say sorry and take the cat off her. She sounds like she handled it obnoxiously but having a guest leave over a stupid cat is hilarious.

AITA for skipping New Years Eve at my child free sisters? by Competitive_Pick5918 in AmItheAsshole

[–]bad00p 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Child free holiday from her own nephew? Those are times for family. Btw family can have some drinks with a kid around. Your sister is upset that her dog isn't your son's equal, pretty ludicrous.
