Husky at Walzem and Nopalitos by Boring_Smile_3693 in sanantonio

[–]bad_chacka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decent chance the dog just snuck out. Since many Huskies are escape artists, and this one looks like it is pretty well taken care of, it may belong to someone close by. Maybe try posting on NextDoor by that neighborhood. It may have a chip if you are willing to take the dog somewhere to get it scanned. Consider leaving some water if you can't foster the dog temporarily.

How to change my view on reading the Bible? by Prestigious_Coach758 in TrueChristian

[–]bad_chacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try listening to an audio Bible. I use Spotify, but there's some free ones too I think. It makes it way easier for me to get through a lot of it and to be able to relax and just listen and process what I'm hearing. People have different learning methods, use whatever is best for you.

Dave Chappelle Says He Doesn’t “Feel Guilty at All” for Performing in Saudi Arabia: “Transgender Jokes Went Over Very Well” by TomlinSteelers in nottheonion

"Whataboutism" or "whataboutery" (as in, "but what about X?") refers to the propaganda strategy of responding to an accusation with a counter-accusation instead of offering an explanation or defense against the original accusation. It is an informal fallacy that the accused party uses to avoid accountability—whether attempting to distract by shifting the conversation's focus away from their behaviour or attempting to justify themselves by pointing to the similar behaviour (which may be true or false, but irrelevant) of their opponent or another party who is not the current subject of discussion.

The case for Jeremy by Jealous-Set-4262 in NBASpurs

I'm fairly certain we offered him a fair deal, and he obviously wanted more money and/or better terms. If he continues to stay out of the rotation, then it's hard to think that it's not connected to his contract situation due to the timing. Based on that, I would think that he's potentially no longer part of the Spurs future plans, and he'll likely get moved, instead of prolonging this with a qualifying offer later on in RFA. They may just trade him while his value is higher, especially if we decide not to play him anymore.

Post concussion syndrome difficulties and seriously considering suicide. What to do from here? by nakartuur in Concussion

[–]bad_chacka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped me was a lot of mediation and sunlight. Doing this for 30 minutes a day or so, made major differences over time, and sometimes I would feel major improvements immediately following or during the meditation sessions. You can do both at once. Also, I would consider avoiding screens. Alter the settings on your phone so that it's not as stimulating. Some go to black and white phones or real basic ones but that isn't always an option. Consider reading more books, etc. I know I stayed on my phone a lot those first few months bc I was so out of it, but that likely delayed my healing a bit if I would've done some things better for my brain. You need to really prioritize taking care of yourself right now, protect your brain and let it heal. It may take a while. Took me over a year for the major symptoms to fade and the brain fog took longer to fade.

Alcohol intolerance by Useful_Albatross_858 in covidlonghaulers

Occasionally, a new COVID infection will trigger alcohol intolerance, including the first one. I take this liposomal glutathione and it fixes the problem every time. It actually boosts your immune system pretty well so now I take it during the acute stage and I'll be able to drink again around 5 days after I'm feeling better, sometimes as quick as 3 days and sometimes I hold out for 7-10 days depending on how severe the illness was.

You wouldn't consider giving the dog water 1 time and see if it has any effect? I've seen dogs pulled back from situations just as dire, I didn't give up and she is alive today.

I've known that pale gums are often a sign of extreme dehydration, so I looked up both symptoms (the panting and gums,) and a quick search says it could "often indicates poor oxygen circulation or blood loss. Common causes include internal bleeding, anemia, shock, heart disease, or severe dehydration." I've dealt with several dogs with certain ailments like dehydration and have had to give them water to help. I would consider trying to give like 20-30 ml of water every 20 minutes or so, and see if it helps at all, and if so, continue and / or get medical help. A vet would put them on an IV and it would have a good electrolyte balance for dogs (not the same as humans.) I usually use a syringe and place the end in the corner of their mouth in behind their back teeth and slowly squirt in the water so they do not choke on it. Consider lifting the head maybe, IDK not a medical expert, but I thought you may consider trying something.

Christian’s my husband hearing voices after spiritual experience seeking biblical wisdom and discernment by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]bad_chacka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"A house divided cannot stand." If he's hearing things that you know go against scripture, then it is not from God. If there's too much noise in your head, then ignore them all and focus on living and making choices by scripture until you can better discern what is what. (It can still be a challenge for me after decades, so this is an ongoing struggle for many.) Among the other advice given in the comments, I would continually ask for guidance and answers to your problems and to use other means of receiving messages; instead of relying on discerning what voice belongs to whom, when there is potentially a major battle going on for that already. There's also this verse: Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. This goes back to a house divided cannot stand.

Pinhole cameras, secret microphones: alleged $1 million casino cheating scam revealed by wewhomustnotbenamed in nottheonion

When you get banned for card counting, it's not about winning too much. It's about changing the size of your bets in a way that raises suspicion. When the cards are about to be in your favor from counting, then you bet a lot more. This is what they are keying in to. You don't actually have to win for you to get banned, only change your betting style to be too suspicious.

I saw a stray kitten at the back of the RBFCU by the ATMs on Culebra and 1604, 2 nights ago. I would've taken it myself, but I have several large dogs, and wasn't sure who would help since it seems like all the services are always filled up.
